I have muscovy and cayuga and crested cayuga ducks for sale. They are all from June hatch I would like $8 each or $7 if you take more than 10. I also have Cortunix quail. I would like $3 each or if you take more then 20 $2.50 each. The quail are not full grown. They are 5-8 weeks old. please e-mail with any questions. Thanks​

It is hard to comment on all the banter here Doc, but that makes stopping by just so darn fun read.
BCC, fleet did have the new waterers in C-ville. I'm gonna prolly try one and see how they work.
Moved a ladder stand for the big opener on Sat. Anyone else gonna pursue the wily whitetail this week end?
Yep, Terri we eat alot of stuffed pork loins with home made sage stuffing. I grew 3 huge sage plants that are drying in the shed. Need any sage with the dill seed you guys?
Congats on your dining pleasure Annarie...see what you've been missing.
I talked with jim today. He is making a plucker with sprockets and a chain instead of dealing with belts that stretch. I'll keep you posted how it turns out. He was able to trade all the pullets for cockerals.

Which means I REALLY have to get their pen ready tomorrow! Just finishing up winterizing, making it nice and snug for them.

Anyways, I have an algebra quiz to finish before 8 a.m., and I really should register for spring classes at some point - officially TOO MUCH GOING ON!

hey everyone i finally got signed in with the computer again what a pain! i requested a new password but it didnt work so i had to go through my old e mails from when i originally got my membership to find my first password . well anyway here i am so how is everyone doing ? i would imagine i have missed quite alot of goings on in the last couple of weeks. well got the coop straightened out today and still havent tarped the RUN lol . theres always tomorrow right. deer humting is coming up quick and i have got a ton of stuff to do around here and im not even close to ready for winter. pretty excited about thanksgiving my son is coming home and i havent seen him since he went in the army in 04 thats a long time and the wife is chomping at the bit i bet this will be the best turkey we have had in years lol. babylady i will give you a call about that coop i live in omro and would like to take a look at it. well have a good night all

Got my other stuff done and was heading out to the woods and the BFF called wanting to come out and hunt. He got a nubber with his cross bow. Heading over to get some real dry wood from his place today. That wind storm that went through took down two nice dead oaks along with his tripod stand. Emily had told him that he better get a deer because you know dad we're out of hot sticks!

He called her to tell her that he got a deer and she was very happy. Then he said he would be home a shortly but was going to have a beer first. He had to explain that it was only one beer. Her response was Whatever. She's going to make some man miserable some day. Have a good one.

So........ WE HAVE BABIES!

I have a total of 4 button quail that hatched last night! They are sooo darn cute. I still have a lot of eggs left and I have Cortunix, Serama, mixed bantam, mixed LF, Silkies, and mixed ducks due to hatch this month! I'm so excited! Can you tell? LOL!

Sorry smilie overload, but the buttons are just too darn cute.

so I made bagels yesterday, 1st time! any one else make bagels? cause something doesn't sound right with the whole how to make them. im so confussed!
yesterday my DS(13) forgot his science book at school but he still had to do his paper. it was a cross word puzzle with all his science words. How confussing. there were some that neither of us had a clue on. so to the internet I went, just typed in the clue and WAH LA ask.com had the answers! LOL that was easy! my cousing told me that we cheated! HEY I just used ALL my resources!

BTW i am NOT smarter than a 6th grader!
you know I was thinking, (watch out now) why is it when something is happening in someone elses life they ALWAYS come to me like I can fix it. they bounce things off me, they come to talk, get input, guidance. what the heck? maybe my calling in life is to be a Psychiatrist. or is it to just be there for them?! IDK I do know i def would not like my job if I was one. (no offence if U are one)

GC has babies! I wanna see pics!!!!! Raimnel The best advice I can give ya is always include a disclaimer when offering advice. CYA! Never made bagels before either but am going to try one of these days. Hauled two large loads of wood home today one of which will be split tomorrow and the other is in the shed. We are definitely set for winter. Was going to split it then came in for some lunch and made the mistake of sitting down. Think tomorrow will be a good day for splitting.

Finally found a couple of minutes to post, have been reading to keep up but that's all. Crazy around here for the last while, DH is getting ready to go up north for the opening weekend of deerhunting so trying to get things with work done so there hopefully aren't problems

. Of course this coming Sunday is DD(10)'s birthday as well so she will be having a few friends sleepover to celebrate-of course this is an issue every year with someone(not living in our house)

Had the kids 4-H club yearly banquet this past Sunday so I had to get that all together and then the place we ordered awards from messed up the order but we were able to fix it in time, so that went well. Now on to getting the 4-H charter paper work done for Dec 1st!

We revised our incubator(made a bigger one out of a larger plastic cooler) and are now running a test hatch of Blue Andalusian eggs to see if the boy is doing his job

We are getting about 5-6 eggs a day out of the 12 that could be laying, we get Welsummers, Cuckoo Marans, Andalusians, Partridge Bantam Cochins and 1 blue Ameracuana. Of course 2 of the Partridge Bantam Cochins are broody now!

The smallest we think is from one of the cochins.

Have a new Aussie foster here, he is 9 months old and afraid of guys so we are seeing how he does with our crazy house and hopefully get him to come around, also suppose to be getting an Irish Setter boy here later this week so that will be interesting.

Off to do some paperwork, have a good one!
