Hey everyone!!!
It's been awhile. I skipped clinicals today because our AMAZING babysitter was unavailable to take DS last night and DH had to go plowing. DH left the airport at 3 something in the morning and didn't get home until 5 something. Roads aren't bad with snow, just covered in a sheet of ICE!! I called into clinicals at 330 in the morning saying between the roads and no babysitter, I wasn't going to make it in. Well, turns out that my boss didn't check her voicemail and they called me at 730, worried that I was stuck in a ditch somewhere!
I was like "Oh no, I left a message saying I wasn't coming out" and they were like "Oh thats fine! We just wanted to make sure you were safe!!" Now, if that was a retail job, how many of you bet the convo woulda been different? As in a "GET INTO WORK NOW" sorta way?
I finally was able to catch up on our energy bill. Great to get that paid off. Money situations are getting easier. Got a little in savings, and DH is expecting his inheritance within 30 days (says the lawyer guy) which will help pay off quite a few bills.
I have been so exhausted lately. Working full time right after clinicals is going to be tough. I got my schedule, and will be working first shift while being trained, pretty much until I leave on Maternity leave! It's fine though, I will continue to have weekends off. Now we just need to get DH a job! I start on March 7th, and i'm just so thankful
In other news, insommnia lead me to looking up some foreclosed homes and I found a log home (I love these homes) thats about 2700 sq. ft. with 40 acres of land!! It has it's own pond, which is DH's dream. It's got some pasture but the majority is wooded. Also what DH wanted. It's a new home, under 5 years old...I think people got homes built before the economy crashed and ended up having to kiss it goodbye. It's priced at just under 300k. Bad news? It's 90 miles north of Sheboygan
So I'd be moving the same distance away from work, in a different direction! I could always transfer out to Oshkosh...It's in Octono Falls.
Oh well, dreaming too big
