Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I once removed a sliver from my finger..

I was just visiting the incubating and hatching threads.. It is a good thing that I cannot just reach in there and grab people by the neck.!!! Instead of replying, I found that if I say things aloud to myself, it hurts no one and I feel better..

Like:, good for you, that was a dumb thing to do and you deserve what you get.

or: THINK !! If you use your brain a little you should surely be able to figure that out..,

do you think statements could get me kicked off of this site? LOL

just thought of another one.. want to raise the humidity? dip the whole incubator into a tub of hot water for 5 minutes..

Oh Jim, you're a hoot!

Just got an email saying there is a new Raw Milk Bill for 2011.
clap.gif
I think it's better than the 2010 version, allows farms with less than 20 cows to sell without a grade A license. That's huge for the little guys. Soooo, let's get this thing passed this year! I'll be calling my reps shortly. I know one of them is a tough sell; he's gonna hear my name and think 'not her again', Muhaaahhaaa!!

"The opposition to Raw Milk is already hard at work in attempting to spread the same disinformation that former Governor Doyle used as an excuse to kill last years bill. We need your action now to get the bill moving forward. Please contact your legislator's and senator's and ask them to co-sponsor the new raw milk bill. This is also a good time to start writing letters to the editor's of your local papers voicing your opinion and related experiences with raw milk.
To view the new raw milk bill visit http://www.wisrawmilkassociation.com/bill-progress-blog.html

We are reintroducing legislation that would permit the sale of raw milk directly from Wisconsin farmers to consumers. Raw milk has been a staple of Wisconsin and American diets for many generations and it has been consumed for many years without negative health effects by these families.

Twenty-eight states currently allow for the sale of raw milk, including our neighbors in Minnesota. Wisconsin, the Dairy State, currently has no exceptions for the sale of raw milk directly from farms to consumers. This bill simply allows those who want the choice to drink raw milk to have the right to purchase this product directly from Wisconsin family farms.

Please call your Senators and Legislators and urge them to Co-Sponsor the raw milk bill.
Co-Sponsorship of LRB 0306/2 (Senate) and LRB 1531/1 (Assembly) Allowing the Sale of Raw Milk

Who Are My Legislators? http://waml.legis.state.wi.us/

We have formally formed the Wisconsin Raw Milk Association, and now have a web site:
http://www.wisrawmilkassociation.com/index.html "

I love raw milk and will make my concern known!

Cindlady - I've only had raw goats milk years ago and thought it was wonderful. I find it ironic that politicans are only to happy to allow things like hdyrogenated anything in our foods and genetically modified seeds, etc and yet raw milk, which was consumed for centuries is a no-no. I hope the bill makes it through this time.

I hardly slept last night wondering what today would bring. DH looks at house w/inspector this morning... I'm a wreck! He drove past the house last night, anxious to see it in person. Said he still really likes it, needs a coat of paint but looks good... sits back about 100 ft from the main road, which isn't overly busy but the speed limit is 55, which concerns me (was hoping it was 35-40 due to it's location) and there are railroad tracks across that road about 150 ft away... that really has me worried. Hoping it's a little used track..

I got all excited when he said there was a roo in the yard... little did I realize he was talking about a 7' tall metal rooster. We had seen a really neat one about 3 or 4 feet tall in the house when looking at the photos and he loved it, was thinking of asking her if she wanted to sell it (she's a bit of a ... collector... of EVERYTHING...lol, yes I'm trying to be nice, as our RE agent visited the property for us and said both little out buildings are crammed full) and we're hoping she going to have a huge sale bcause what she does have is very nice, she don't collect junk

Anyway... I'm pacing around, trying to distract myself as it will be a few hours yet before I know anything.. *sigh* ... I'm not the world's best *waiter*

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

otonoh and TO we're up 10 possibles right now. Don't know how many are fertile but we're gonna find out. Come on Buster! Back to it. 15* below average out there, come on spring!

good morning all, too soon to tell what kind of day it will be..

the two and some times 3 turkeys are starting to lay pretty steadily..

It took me a few seconds, DrH.... yes, the finger pulled through..
I can bend it or stick it out straight,,I wish I could show it to you.. LOL

TerryO , I endorsed your replies on ink&hat.. did You notice?

I thought it was OK to sell raw milk.. I do not drink the stuff so I do not follow what is going on.. I quit drinking milk in 1978. .that's when we got rid of all our goats.. after I got used to goat milk, I could not stand slimey cows milk. I eat a lot of ice cream, though..

dkvart1 , I grew up near a RR switching yard.. the banging went on all night long.. If the noise stopped, you then took notice,,.."what was that?" LOL

Instead of counting sheep, you would count how many cars were in a string by the sound of the engine backing into them and then it would go bang, bang , bang, bang,,,,,,,,etc.. then when the enging would start to pull, the banging would go in reverse, sort of a confirmation of your count.. LOL

and as far as the 55 speed limit.. people don't pay any attention anyhow.. our road is 45MPH and they go 70..

coffee is gone, gotta get another cup. later,,,,,

Morning All,

My older border collie cross was limping yesterday, I checked paw and leg and gently manipulated it, no pain there so it seems to be in the shoulder.
She is laying in front of the door (which is open) to stare at the chicks while they shred the newspapers to get at the scratch which is sitting in a dish and in
their feeder...
Moving Henrietta the sight impaired BR to the QT area at the barn.
I have been playing phone tag for a day now with my client. If I don't hear from him today I will try for tonight and hope that he wants to keep
Dillon the QH there for now.
Man I am tired..and my sinuses hurt, I can breathe pretty well but I am just tired.
Laters all!
