I woke up early too.. got up and set up another chick TV.. came down to see how the goose is doing.. such a maze of chicks in ther I can't see him.. so I got a box and took all the chicks out and the goose, too.. 32 chicks.. what a lively bunch they are !!

I think it is still raining.. Dave you are going to get wet.. I can't even PUSH Prince out of the door when it is raining.. LOL

every morning and every afternoon/evening, 365 days a year, They enjoy it so much and besides we have to go for walkies or else there is heck to pay. Just misting here, the frogs are peeping, the wild turkeys are gobbling and the deer are running. A nice morning, chicks are still peeping.

Ahh, back feels better, hands are a bit sore, but ready to finish that thing today, hopefully.

Lots of cheeping from the incubator, looks like 6 out so far.

Pleasant day to stay under garage rooftop, but I actually enjoy rainy weather as long as I'm not out IN it for the most part (or in lots of rain gear.)

Looks like we have some dry days ahead. Really need some sun and wind to dry this up! The garden is gonna be late this year. Nice job on the brooder/broody hutch/toybox ODrH!!!! Sounds like you've got a good helper! Bigz think you should show Rick a roll of duct tape and ask him if he wants to find out how much it hurts to have ripped off

Amyable congrats to Cartman on the toofers! Have had that learning experience, know enough to keep fingers away. I'm runnin late.

Congrats to all on the new babies!

Well DH has to work today- we normally don't work any weekends

but we have a couple of clients who tried to think and inserted themselves

Which leaves me and the kids to do all the prep-cooking and cleaning for Easter tomorrow so I started yesterday and now this morning working on the 7 layer jello that DD requested. We're 2 layers in and starting layer 3. Will make this in between everything else!

Well probably should get moving again, have 4-H Dog showmanship class this am for the kids and than a quick 2 stops and back home.

Good Morning! Looks like it will warm up a bit today and my birds can have the run of the temporary pond in their yard for awhile yet (read: swamp). The ducks are like little kids piling out of a car and running down to the lake when I open their house in the morning. Quacking and and pushing and flapping and waddling as fast as their webs allow.

Amy, so you have chicks AND a human baby? I'm so jealous! We definitely need to get together soon! DD13 and I go to Appleton until around 2:00 today, then we should be home for the rest of the weekend, including Monday, if your're driving by please stop in....Magley's old place.....got hit by the tornado last August...lots of construction....on the right before Ridge.

Wish I could see everyone's little ones. Nothing better than baby birds, when it comes to animals, that is.

Although our ducks' kitten is pretty cute.

Good morning! You people really like to get up early!!! (I got up at 8) Plenty early enough for me...DH got up at 7:30; gave him enough time to get the dogs and cats fed and coffee made--then I got up

Of course the first stop was to take a look in the incubator...HOLY CHICKENS! There are so many in there that they can hardly move! I turned on the brooder light in the tank TV and am waiting for it to get warm. Then I am MOVING the CHICKS! I can stand it no longer! Poor babies...Oh good, I think they have tuckered themselves out...quiet. SSHHHH.....

It seems very spring like outside! Finally

It smells really "green." I love that smell dont you? I have to get some produce to make a veggie tray for tomorrow. Not sure what else I will bring along, probably some deviled eggs and I think some GF cupcakes for me and my Aunt. Man I hope we dont get sick...

DH is searching the sky for clearing

he has to finish the brake job on his truck. $$$$ for sure. I guess the calipers locked up so he has to replace much on both rears. THat's what he gets for letting it sit all winter and telling me not to drive it!

Hurley--you are the MASTER! Can you come and build me some furniture? What a great job. I need something just like that for my quail! I love that Thomas (is it?) put his toys in there. Tell me that you helped organize those trucks! THat is pretty good for a two year old! I could just see him telling you exactly where to place each one! (as only a 2 year old can!) Man I miss little ones...THere are a BUNCH of teens and twenty somethings sleeping upstairs....I think I will run the vacuum cleaner!

Amy is your little guy really named Cartman or is it just DrH's "petname" for him? I think it is a cool name. Cant wait to see him in person (and his teeth) in June, He will probably have 6 by then! You are coming arent you? Speaking of babies...anyone hear anything from Raiquee recently? She should be just about ready to pop! Wasnt she due in mid-April? I wonder how stuff is going for them lately? RAIQUEE....your friends are wondering....please check in! We will have two little babies to play with at the bash...(unless I missed someone else?) We really need a blushing smiley!

good morning sleepy heads.. I went back to bed at 6AM for a couple of extra winks..

there are only 28 chicks in the tv brooder.. I miscounted as I was taking them out of the hatcher.. but there are more in the hatcher, so it will be 32 by the day's end..
there are several different colors in this batch..

TO, how did you sleep, with the chicks crying , and all..

I have to transfer 14 dozen eggs today.. due on the 25th..

H, nice toy chest/shelves.. you better get busy on your other project,,, a brooder, wasn't it??

me if I named my kid Cartman! (the resemblance is uncanny though.) I'd be akin to those nutty Hollywood types...Apple, Kal-el, isn't there a Moonbeam too? 'Logan' is much more dignified.

Only 2 months to go! Yes, Raiquee should be ready to pop, and GothChick will be looking like I did last year

Love to stop in sometime Shanti, prob not this weekend - little guy has been fevery last 2 days and can't decide if he's happy or sad this morning. Ugg, I hate when babes are sick. Holding a 20-lb grumpy lump for 6 hours straight does not make my Top 10 list.

Well I did it! I took out 16 and put one back in...he still had the remains of the yolk sac to be absorbed yet. I hope he does it quick! THere was another that was just out of the egg too that stayed in the bator.
Hurley ya gotta laugh at Jim doncha? Sure hope your boy isnt too disappointed when you tell him "that's for Mommy's toys!"

Or you will have to build another! I see carpentry in your future...just dont pound your finger with a hammer! That could be detrimental to your day job!
