lol You guys make me laugh. Any time I am sick that is everyones answer and then... oh no, might be twins... I just look at them and say "yup- indigestion and twins- same thing some days!"

good morning , if I type real fast..

I went and started the tiller and worked up a spot for the extra plants.. I planted 20 pepper, and 30 califlour. then worked up some extra ground at the edge of the garden for some viney plants.. cukes and squash.. almost got the piece of ground worked up when I blew a piston rod in the tiller.. D@mn !!!

first I am planting and wishing for rain,, then all of a sudden I am planting and trying to beat the rain..LOL

The tractor battery shows 100% charge now.. should I buy a new one anyhow? or is this one going to keep working ? I think I will buy a team of horses and give up on engines and motors..

5 more guineas this morning..

the Ukokkei eggs are not hatching so great.. I think I will sell the trio and all the babies that did hatch.. they were interesting, but I do not need the diversity..

You are silly! Of course leave a note on the car from Florida!!!

The guinea was off the nest so I went and had a look--tossed one and there is a pip! Yeah...he/she was working on it then I hear the mama coming back so I left it alone! Seemed pretty dry--I hope she went in the water to provide more humidity...guess she probably knows what to do!

Jim...bummer on the piston! Guess you were working it too hard...maybe we can get a 2 for 1 deal at my mechanic on engine rebuild? He says that my engine (Tecumseh) is no longer made so he cant get the right sized rings for it...he is going to put in some but we will probably have some blow by--dh says we are going to use it that way this year and buy a new engine for it next year. (oh brother--talk about wasting $$!) TIckes me off!

OK gotta go and hang sheets out--I hope they dry! I was really wishing I had my camera on me this morning. The young pigeons were all laying down in the same direction side by side--looked really weird!
Later! Terri O

That was MLH that was going to leave the note on the FL car.
I screw up names & their posts all the time too. DH keeps telling me "it's early signs......." Smart a$$. He means early signs of oldtimers.

Holy minestrone, Batman, you people have been chatty & busy!
What a cold, damp, grey day today. Guess I'd better catch up on the laundry & all the rest of the indoor stuff I've been purposely ignoring lately.

I am kinda worried about DK also, but you know how crazy moving can be. I'm sure she has a ton of things keeping her busy. Plus her & her DH were planning on taking a ride to MI to pick up that dog soon after the move. Heck, she is prolly too busy trying to catch up with all the reading she has missed since she's been gone!

Congrats to all that got their gardens in! Sorry Cind, but I think I'll be taking home the frozen tomato prize this year.

Still haven't found the time for the veggie garden yet, so I'm thinking I'll only have tomatoes & peppers this year, since I've already got those plants going. And I'll prolly toss in some radishes for DH. Those always come up quick. The thought of not having any cukes this year is heartbreaking, though.
Amy or Cind, does comfrey like sun or shade? I looked on Wiki but it didn't specify.
Bigz, so glad your eye is doing good, albeit too slow to heal for you. And thank you for all the camp info. I still do not know if we'll be able to make it. DH has a gig down in IL on Friday night & prolly won't get home til late.
he.gif
So if we did come, it wouldn't be until the afternoon sometime, because it'll be about a 3 hour ride for us.

WCC, there is a stomach bug going around down (back) here. My BIL was puking on Sat. & Sun., & my sis & DH were both nauseated for the past couple days, and had stomach pains too. I sure hope you are feeling better soon.
TO, you have hackberries?!?!?!? I have been wanting one of those for years. If you ever get any small ones come up that need a home, please keep me in mind. Do you know where the Cutter H-D ride is starting from, by any chance? Sounds like it is up my alley.
Jim, I think that is your tillers way of saying "uncle", or "enough garden for one year already!"

How old is the batt in the tractor? The batt in our Farmall was 12 years old when she finally started to give. DH had to start a fire underneath the tractor in the barn last winter to warm it up enough to get it to turn over. Started like a champ though. Yeah, I guess it was time for a fresh battery.

What a wet morning. It's been raining her non stop since about 4am. Went out to check on my chicks at 6 and they were doing good.
smile.png
Keeping warm. I washed up some chicken butt from my pasty butt chick. (I used peroxide to clean up and then did put some vaseline on it today - I read up on some pasty butt posts yesterday afternoon...)
Come in did some housework (which has been severly neglected because of the nice weather...) and just went back out and the heat lamp was out. Sigh... chicks are all still doing well, but I felt bad for them. Who knows how long it's been out.... we figure the cord got wet or something, got it all fixed and they are happily sitting under the light warming up. Poor chicks, and bad chick momma that I am...

Our little town of 500 had some great big happenings this weekend! Our local post office got robbed. Someone broke in over the weekend and stole a whole bunch of stuff. I guess the FBI is here this week and such. Interesting to say the least! We all got a little note in our mailbox stating that the window will not be open until further notice and the investigation is complete. Who robs a post office?? My gosh...

Glad to hear you are all getting some progress on your gardens. I really think that all of us harvesting into October are not going to be the only ones in the state doing so... it's been such an odd spring...

Well laundry's calling again... time to get off my hinder and get movin again. I just would rather sit in front of the TV or computer and lounge on days like this...

CC, I think comfrey can tolerate pretty much anything. Mine is in full sun and has gone bezerk, although it will grow in shade too. It's alot like mint - keep it confined or it can take over.

$10, but I only have black or white XL as extras.

I know how you feel!
thanks Bigz on refreshing my mind on how much/little camp was going to cost.
big_smile.png
I do like that price.
well last night I got the backs of the black shirts printed, tomorrow I'm printing the backs of the white shirts AND the fronts of the black shirts lol I know it's making MY head spin too.
gig.gif
then I have to on a different day screen the fronts of the white shirts and after they dry, screen all the combs, DRY, and finally screen the beaks.
th.gif
hopefully they're dry by that Friday. lol ok, don't worry, they'll be done.
big_smile.png
thinkin since it's raining of going and printing the backs of the white Ts tonight??? gotta think about that. was going to have a camp fire and roast hotdogs for supper tonight but the fire pit is wet now. DH and kids put the tent up last night, just for the sake of setting it up, well to make sure all is there yet. lol
