Good Nas T Morning All! WELCOME Breac! Always good to have some new blood here! GC hope you find your puppy! Cindy think I checked a half a dozen times for more. Now have sparegus neck. ODr.H Happy belated B'day to Thomas! Jim glad Ken got his bird! And if you have one foot in the grave then your walkin in circles. Where there's a main branch and another forks off from it and you get one in the crotch snip off the outboard branch. NOT THE ONE IN THE CROTCH! That's where you get your fruit to grow. Never snip the one in the crotch! It makes cringe just typing that. dk nice job on the plot for Stanley. So much more but it escapes me. Looks like a good day to get out early then hide in the house the rest of it. Really looking forward to some cooler weather! Think I'll call the BFF and see if he wants to go fishin Weds. Didn't check the rain guage but pretty good boomers around 2:30. Things to do better get moving!

Good Morning ??

All.
Love the 1 eyed wonder club..
Can we start a near useless limb club?? I have a near useless knee, a very useless shoulder (Pain every day!) and when I do stuff that requires holding something...useless hands.
My mother called me the "Queen of the Disease of the Week Club", so not only am I a member, apparently I am the queen too. ..

I am going to have to climb the hay wagon this morning to cover more of the hay till we get it unloaded.
DH is SORE!! from chucking bales.. I TOLD him we could switch out so neither one of us got too bad.. did he listen.. no...

Next Friday a week from now I am having to watch my client's MIL, she has Alzheimers and needs some one with her. Her daughter can't that 1 day...
So he asked me to come over and hang out.
Well off to feed chickens, horses, cover hay and then my day job of being a nanny.
DH forgot the eggs he sold to a co-worker so I am going to have to drive them up to him...
Well gots to go.
Welcome Breac!!

Welcome Breac!

It is always great to see new Wisconsinites on the list! In what part of the State do you live? I'm in East Central WI, not far from Poy Sippi. I saw with interest that you have a Vorwerk. Where did you find one? They are quite lovely and very, very rare.

Is anyone else dealing with "killer" mosquitoes? My gosh, I feel like I'm being eaten alive every time I go out to take care of the animals. Yesterday I sprayed down with insect repellent 3 times and they were still biting.

I'm building a pen for my coop. This is a project that is taking forever. However, considering that I can only get to it onn the weekend, I suppose it's to be understood. Yesterday I mounted that run gate and put up most of the wire. I bought a "gate kit" from Menards which is super easy to use. Now for the last little piece of side fencing and then the top and digging around the base to bury some wire. The worst part is the roofline. It's one of those little "Dutch" type coops and I'll have to do some cutting and pasting to make sure there are no holes. I promise to post some photos, but it's a challenge with my I-Pad. I need to get on a real computer.

Just an up-date on my coccidiosis problem. After losing my little Salmon Favorelle last Friday, three more showed symptoms (fluffed feathers, mopey, under the weather). They are all on the "Corid" and I also gave them yogurt (which they didn't eat). Yesterday, Sunday, They looked good, so I put them back into the coop. I wanted to keep them inside for a few days, where I could monitor their stool for any blood.

More later,

Hey Everybody,

So no sign of our puppy.

My daughter is distracted by all the chicks and her ducklings for now but I think she is starting to notice. I feel terrible because her birthday is on Friday. I'm hoping that we can find her an adult already trained dog if our puppy doesn't come back. I don't have time to start from scratch with another puppy and a baby due in October.

Hi Gothchick,

I'm a "Dog Person" and have experience with lost dogs. I don't know what you've done so far to find the puppy, but here are some suggestions;

1. Contact the Police Dept DAILY to ask about a lost or found dog.
2. Contact the local Animal Shelter or Pound DAILY - Be the "squeaky" wheel"
3. Post ads everywhere in the Community- at the local store, Gas Stations, street or rural intersections. Mention that this is a Child's Pet!
4. Post to Facebook or Twitter
5. There is an on-line lost dog site...a search might find it quickly
6. If you are on any other Forums or Lists POST!
7. Put out food or water in the hope of attracting the puppy back
8. Spend some time each day driving around the area, give Neighbors a copy of the Poster

Good luck!

Nonsuch- Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately we have tried all of them and no luck.

My sister even works at the local humane society and is helping me try to find her. The police told me I probably wont get her back because in our town if a cute small breed puppy with no collar goes missing it normally doesn't come back because people find them and keep them. Also we have a TON of hunters in the area that would love to find a free stray Beagle puppy. Things aren't looking hopeful. She's only 6 months and has been gone for almost 18 hours already.
