BBP.... vinegar will help stop bleeding and disinfect... Stings like he!! at first but works. If it's not real deep... krazy glue and reinforce w/tape or band aid. Patched lots of kid, pets and people like this. That colored "stick to self" tape sold for pets and I think sports works great! It's tough and breaths. Good luck!

good evening, got everything fed, watered and bedded for the night.. grandma, included..

#1 grandson delivered my pain killers.. took one right away.. no pain, but I hhave bee working the area with my tongue so when the pill wears off, I am sure the pain will be present.. No x-rays after the procedure.. I can feel a sharp something with my tongue,, I can't work it loose, though.. the dentist should have no trouble getting it..

Annie took a dislike to the newest rooster in the flock..she has it in a coop all by himself,,, with a dish of cracked corn.. I wonder what is on her mind ?? Hmmmm...?? He is a production red rooster,, No redeeming qualities.. All he would have had to do was go into the coop without being chased down and netted..

I was going to drag the cultivators through the corn with the tractor after it dried out from all the rain.. but now with the nice rains and hot weather, the corn is too tall to fit under the tractor axles.. so tomorrow morning, early, I will run up and down the rows with the roto-tiller.. (now that I know where that ON/OFF switch is) LOL

I took photos of my garden last year because it looked so nice..but this one looks even nicer. after 45 years, I think I am finally getting the hang of this gardening stuff..

The blackberries are not going to be much to brag about this year.. but the canes are about 9 feet tall.. they give the chickens a lot of nice shade anyway..

Well warm evening all!

So I had an interesting day/evening... ran around with my friend after work, and then got a frantic call from new horse client.
She is in far flung parts of IL, her new horse is out, my horses chased hers through the fence 3-4 times. I told her I would take my horses home..
No no they will be fine (famous last words)
AND she needed her goat milked. Any one have a clue how long its been since I milked a goat..
Over 20 years, but I remembered just right and got her milked!!
Then onto the horses and catcing/moving, then to the barn, feed horses, move bales and then came home and ate dinner...
WHo says life isn't exciting!!

Ok guys,

I'm back. Able to sit up and take nurishment !!! Finally !!! I am beat !!! One heck of a road trip. When I got home DH ET didn't hear me pull in. I Honked horn several times, dogs barking honking, dogs continue bark so I figured out I'd haul my belongings in by myself !!!

So he finally came out and grabbed a few bags and we proceeded to the house !!! HOLY COW was it hot in there. 86 !!!!!!! Remember I had spent two days in the air conditioned car, stores and hotel !!! Put on nearly 600 miles ! DH ET heard about that.
His comment " Maybe you should have drove 5000 miles", I said I can hop back in the car and do it !!!

And I was serious !!!

Our air conditioning isn't working well but if you turn it on for a little while I'm sure he could have gotten it down to maybe 84 which is what it was all day today !!!

So needless to say, I'm hot, still tired and took 3 showers today inbetween caring for the chicks etc. I'm ready for another road trip.

AND YES I do feel single'd out CC. Hey JIM

We didn't get hay today. Borrowed a few bales from the neighbor. Going to Merrill tomorrow to get some. I don't think I'll be picking up those guineas for that woman in Lily. I'll call her and give her your number !!! Just the thought of anymore driving is making me more tired if that is possible !!!

Well, I have caught up on all the posts but I can't remember a Darn thing other then the kittens are cute but NO I don't need anymore and the bunnies are adorable but I don't need those either sorry !!

So during my little trip I took a few picturres I'd like to share with you all but I have to go and upload them all so it might not be tonight or tomorrow. Takes a while to upload to this BYC !!

Well, I'll give it a day or two to comment, by then I should remember what is going on around here when it has transferred to my long term memory !!

Oh and Jim, someone on CL has Royal Purple guineas. On the UP craigs list. So if I get a few of those I'll have a nice mixture.

I read the posts hours ago and was going to comment when I came back on.... for got it all! Well, almost. Bong is a very nice place and I would love to have the get together so close, but it is rather SE for allot of people. And yes, the woman who runs the UFO thing is a bit "out there" however, Burlington and the area have been known to have many "odd events". Some witnessed by most of the town. We've even been mentioned in a few books about the paranormal. Since I was born and raised here, I guess that explains a bit about me!

One of the large, older hens sneaked into the shed where Jasmine and the kids were while I was cleaning her pen. Don't even know if the other one did anything, but she was too close to the chicks! Little Jasmine went right after her! I noticed the chicks are getting a bit bolder too. I didn't have the screen on the door tight and a few slipped out! Jasmine stood by the door and frantically called them. Naughty little chicks didn't go in until the roosters headed their way!

Speaking of roosters... I got to separate them soon. They are trying to "get it on" with the hens. Hens not happy about that! LOL One got Matilda from behind and a few minuets later another TRIED. I heard a fuss and there she stood with a beak full of white feathers!

Well, plan on sending them to freezer camp anyway. Just want to fatten them up a bit... they're production chickens too.

DH gave me some money to go get the last 300 ft. of fencing we need. I kept telling him there were foxes around, guess it didn't sink in 'till he saw one last night about 1/8 of a mile from us!

just watched the news, in Rock Co. there has been a huge string of rural burglaries, some one finally caught them in the act as they were leaving and called the police.
So...BBP you are not alone!

Think of how many people's lives they've made miserable. I bet they get a slap on the wrist. If my thief comes back in the winter and I catch him he's getting stripped down, tied up, and left in the cold for a long time.

Good Cool Morning All! Jim I don't have time to sit around waiting to be singled out so I just do it myself.

And besides I really don't care.

Saw that spray stuff on the tube and wondered how many cans it took to plug that screen? Don't think a can would go very far. I have a gallon of RV roofing material just a matter of gettin it done. I went to a horse Dr. one time to have my wisdom teeth pulled [which explains a lot] couldn't chew or drink anything hot or cold. And could feel something sticking up in the gum. Went back to him and he said Oh. SNIP! It was a nerve sticking out that he had missed! I came unglued!

I don't recomend using silicone chalk internally it tastes terrible and causes major problems in the potty dept! Kinda like having tape worms.

BBP hope you don't bleed out! Nothing worse than wakin up dead. DD came over last night to get their gallon of pickles and I mentioned that I might do some culling of the herd. She says she wants to learn how to butcher. That's MY girl!

She dresses out her own deer too. I see from the purple poo in the yard that the birds found the berries. Told them to take a bucket with them next time. Got the no thumbs excuse again.

So sorry for the losses that some are experiencing but we all know it happens.

Sure was a nice repreive yesterday but now see the humidity is coming back.

Better get my butt movin gonna finish the insulation this morning and maybe go get the drywall. Think I'll set up on the front porch, it's closer and won't have to carry it in the rain. Have a good one!
