Afternoon all! Just came from an interview with WEAP (Wisconsin Early Autisim Project)in Madison... sounds promising, should know by end of week if I'll get hired. Part time,working in home w/autistic children, pays decent, only bummer is the hours 3:30 -6:30... I'm a definate MORNING person, but beggars can't be choosers! Anyway I'm

On way home passed that poor little calf, he's still the same

so don't know if sherriff ever went there or not.

Goth sorry the bedrest is so tough, don't know why the call it 'rest' it's generally anything but. Really crummy the way that "friend" treated you w/the cat and all the damage it did.

Jim if I could see the porch I MIGHT be able to answer that question !

sorry, migraines are horrible!

Second sprinkling of grass in back yard is starting to come up... might actually end up looking 1/2 way decent. Of course there will still be some bare spots here and there, since for some reason grass seed tends to migrate, but at least they'll be small patches! After all the posts about sweet kittens I wanted to post this photo the other day, but BYC kept subtracting my photos every time I uploaded LOL... but this time it might work. This is what cute, sweet little kittens turn into around our house... totally useless furniture ornaments!

good afternoon, am waiting for Annie to come home from the car doctor.. then I can leave to take my old tines to the welder man..

this morning my brother came with his trailer and we went and picked up a chicken brooder.. It was inside a pole building on a concrete floor.. the four sides are recycled patio doors..one third of the the top was hinged like a door.. and it has a heat lamp hanging in the center.. I don't think I will be setting it up soon.. where ever I do set it,, it is going to b permanent.. I figure that it weighs about 5oo pounds all assembled.. we took it completely apart to haul it home..

anybody have a use for it? come and get it.. free...

Hi all! Funny you should mention patio doors Jim...I was just out on my porch washing windows and I was thinking to myself..."see, if I found a few old doors I could prolly put them up here and not have to staple plastic every winter to keep the snow out..." Maybe I will find some in the stuff out on the road on garbage day.
Deb--good luck on the job! I answered an ad for something like that too a while back. They never did email me back...but I didnt go for an interview either! I used to work with kids like that and kinda would like to get back into it. That pic that you posted looks just like my Simon (RIP) except for the striped leg! I have many that "keep the furniture in place" here!
GC--I love your new Avatar! I hope your bedrest goes quickly and the labor and delivery too! When is the new one due?

H&R--too bad about the migraine! My son gets them too...he has special meds for it. I am so jealous of all the folks picking stuff from their gardens! I went to my "friendly farmer" again today and paid way more than I wanted to!
The last thing I wanted to comment on is lending your stuff to others...we let a friend use my DH's Superduty and it came back with a cracked windshield! THEN we got a ticked for it!!! THat really takes the cake! My DH does take this a little far though...he wont even let ME use his stuff!

(good thing he works out of town all week...and doesnt frequent BYC!)

Off to look for some squash in the garden...DD19 wants some with dinner...maybe if I tell the plants to get moving on production they will have some out there by 6? Have a great night everyone! Terri O

Terri O- Thanks! He is due October 21st but he is measuring a month big and was already in the delivery position at my 20 week ultrasound so they think he will be early. If he gets too big, or my blood pressure gets too high, or my iron wont go up they are just going to induce me. I am trying to avoid induction again. I want as natural as possible.

H&R-Dh and I had loads of fun at the fair and your kids were great! Especially DS9 with his cochins! He made me hold his hen! The horror!! LOL!!!!
I'm sorry you have a migraine. I woke up with one this morning too. Mine are just like your and luckily few and far between. I used to get them a lot and nothing helped. Oddly, after my second open heart surgery, they have almost disappeared and the few I get now are not the monsters like they used to be. I'm not complaining! Hope you feel better!
Oh Valerie has laid two eggs so far and they are light green and she will lay large eggs!

dk-that is awful about the calf. I'd keep calling the sheriff. Maybe they did come to see it and had to give the owners time for a vet to see the calf.

x 3 I really like the idea of calling the TV Station. Too bad you didn't post pictures for us to see. We could all call ourselves and be able to describe what he looks like. Give it some thought, I'd call as I"m sure others would.

My neighbors have a calf that the mother must have stepped on. Their grandaughter talked them into calling the vet to have a cast put on. Guess he is doing good. I haven't seen it.

You know the only reason people keep them is because of the $$$$$ they can get for it for meat. They are to darn selfish to humanly put it out of it's missery and take the loss. I'm sure they must be able to claim a loss on their taxes???? Either way, do the right thing !!!! I hate people like that

Jim, did they call you about the guineas today??? I was at the feed store and they are the ones who gave her my phone number. We got to talking about guineas and the owner said he saw a Guineas for sale sign on Hwy 52 outside of Wausau !!! I said I think I know who that is !!!!!! Is it yours ??????

On my way to the feed store (second time in a week, they were out of soybeans last week) I saw a baby bear cross the road !!! How exciting !!!! My exact words were OH MY GOODNESS, OH MY GOODNESS, OH MY GOODNESS !!! All the while thinking Were in the HE!! is my camera when I need it !!!!

I love driving to the feed store. The way I go I've managed to see alot of wildlife. Oh and saw a spotted fawn with mama today too !!!

GC Good luck paiting the changing table, that should work with the kiltz. Hope the rest of the summer isn't so hot for you, and the rest of us for that matter.
