So where "Up Nort" ae you ??? You probably wouldn't consider over here North if you are from the NW part of the state? I'm between Crandon and Pelican Lake. Hate to say Crandon, for some reason it has a bad rep !!! I'm not a born and raised Up Nortian however !!!! Guess I'll never be a "Local" but love it none the less !!

Jim in Wi,
These neighbors have adult peafowl, but do not breed them. But, next time we talk I'll ask them if they have any other contacts. Also, the family owned feed mill in Merton specializes in chickens and other birds (they show and breed)....so, I imagine they will have info on peafowl. I'll talk to them this week when I get feed.

Big Welcome manybirds! Have to ask is it you L.R. ? Just a thought about an OLD friend with birds and critters that I've tried to get on here. I think that's the first post Bigz put on here after restarting the thread. Man you've got a lot of catching up to do.

FT you won't be a local until after someone new moves in. Then you can look down your nose at them until they meet your approval.

Think it was time for him to go. Went out and picked another 3-4 qts of of cukes. Everytime a car went by I dropped to the ground, thought it was the INS! I know I know bad joke! But think I'll be dreaming about a green card tonight. I'm not pregidous about anyone. I'm like Jim except I hate everyone until they convince me different. You wait right here in this oven like structure until I come back. OK another bad one. Must be the Lager influence and the fact that I talked to my german side of the fam today. Ya that's it! Enough onions in the freezer for us and anyone that might need them this winter. Carrots will have to wait till Monday.... Dagwoods for sup sup!

Good Fish Fry Friday All.... Suzie made the baked talapia perfect tonight. Good luck getting that lucky again.

Fun day for the cheeseheads with the pack visiting DC.... wouldn't want to be left out cause my ID is on the plane though!

Thanks for the kind words CC....we are both cottonwood smart....

Raining pretty good here. I was planning on picking pickles in the morn to share with the neighbor. Prolly have to give em a rinse with the hose after picking.

The rain definitly runs off faster with a steel roof....

Welcome!!

Jim - the guys email is: [email protected] did you get the site to load? Because it didn't work worth a squat for me. He has been pretty good about emailing me back though with questions I have had. Sounds like he's got quite a bit of birds. He said he is unable to sex them at this moment, but another month and he should be able to. Price will go up to 30.00 a piece then. Shipping to me would be 57.00 - I can drive there and back on a tank of gas at 50.00 so I think it would be worth it to make the drive in a month when he is able to determine gender.

Those of you talking about cukes are making me super jealous..... my cukes didn't grow at all. Not a single sprout out of them.

Just got back from doing my Lioness duty at the local NTPA tractor pull. Yep, the big ol town I live in triples in size this weekend. A population 500 town with a NTPA tractor pull.... silliness! Either way - the Lioness were selling bars, ice cream and ice cream sandwiches. Sure looked delish and smelled delish too. But alas, it is time for me to make some supper. Grilled chicken - sure wish those meat birds would hurry up and grow so I can stop buying from the store!!!

Butt dog sure looks different! You ain't kidding! I bet Butts liked that ice cream treat though. Sure looks like she may be a hurtin unit for a couple days. Poor butt dog. Did you know they make ice cream for dogs? It is in the freezer section of the store right by the human ice cream cups. It has a big white pooch wearing a scarf on it. Blue box. My dogs love it!

Have another wedding tomorrow - and working the Lioness Pie stand on Sunday - so hoping I don't return to pages and pages to read! Chatter lightly this weekend fellow Cheeseheads!

Have you checked out the following website: UPA www.peafowl.org, that lists breeders in WI and other states

Jim- what color are the 2 peafowl that you have now? Suppose it will be awhile before you know what the baby is!

I have to check with my friend what kind the baby is.. He got eggs from his friends.. the 1 1/2 year old one is a male India Blue..

I checked that addy for peacocks.. that is where I got the message from Amanda and the addy for Brudde..
