I don't think I"m getting that goat. I didn't email her back. I would have had to travel 100 miles one way to meet up with her at the County Fair. Otherwise she was over 200 miles one way. I see there are two free Doe pygmy crosses down near where the pony is but I am not going to push my luck !!! DH ET says NO MORE GOATS !!! I love my goats !!! All of mine were second hand goats (as are most of my animals) and they are becoming very friendly) Even my meat Boar Meat goat !! Gave them all their shots last night. That was a treat !!! I also got a goat weight tape from Jeffers and now I know approximately how much they weigh for worming instead of just guessing !! My Lucky Joe (formerly just named Joe but changed it to Lucky Joe since I saved him from being eaten) weighs 185 lbs. The others are 100, 110, 125 lbs.

You can't have just one goat by the way. They are a flock animal. That is how I ended up with 4. Bought 1 and drove to Green bay to get 2 free. The guy was going to Eat Joey but if I wanted him I could have him for $20.
I thought, well DH ET would kill me, and I can't save the world so I wasn't going to buy him. Then he opened the gate and lead Scout in the trailer, Joey followed him in !!! They are like two peas in a pod !!! I said to the guy "Will you take a check ?" The rest is history !!! Thus the name Lucky Joe !!!

Now I gotta get off this thing !!! Quit posting everybody !!!

Good Morning !

Wow it is hard to read all this and then reply. I think I will have to go back and read it again.

cindlady yes if we can work something like a chain in a day that would work out for the chicks. dornes if you are wanting one or more they are still up for grabs too. Yes 7 or 8 weeks is cut off time for chicks but lots of times mamma tries to get them to perch. I have a mammma hen who I swear has eyes in the back of her head. She has her back turned but if one of her chicks tries to eat poop or something nasty she will make a noise and they will jump back from the nasty, then she shows them something good to eat with a different sound. It is so fun watching them communicate.

blackbrook he is one nice looking rooster. Thanks for reposting the picture.

dornes what a beautiful coop! If I could do half that well I would be happy!! Love the home touch pictures. I have seen perchs on many nest boxes for a landing board but dont know if it is necassary.

My son Nate does some scrapping of building materials. He has a full time job so he cant do more, but he has been talking about those barns. The old wood in them is priceless when in good shape. They just dont sell it like that anymore, especially the really wide pieces. He has found many pieces in dumpsters where people are renovating old buildings downtown Eau Claire and sold them to a dealer for a very pretty penny. He had one piece of lumber 18" wide and 14 ft long of the old good lumber he thought he could get around $100 for that. Wishes he could get into it full time. He finds these old doors people throw out and sells them for $25+ if in good shape. And with original hardware more. He lives in a neighbborhood with many 100 year old houses or more. His was built in the civil war era.

FT what a beautiful pony. Those spots must cost an extra $100.

I hope you get him he is stunning.

jim thanks for the invite and dkv that is another beautiful picture. I love the drops where you can see the world around upside down. FUN

Everyone doing all this farm/chicken work is making me motivated to do more myself.

Have a good day all!

Yeah, good thing they aren't a dollar apiece !!!

She reminds me of the pony I learned to drive with named Patches. Actually this one is prettier then Patches but don't tell her I said that !! Hope it isn't a wasted trip DH ET will be really ticked if I waste time and gas for that.
I guess she is typical Pony as far as riding she can be a pistol but of course I don't plan on riding her

She is suppose to drive very well.

So we shall see. A good look at her feet is a must !!! Don't need a pony that has foundered or anything ! Been there done that !! Learned my lesson. She is only 6 yrs old. That reminds me to ask if she has been out on pasture or if she requires a dry lot.

I get motivated to by all of these posts but it seems that that is as far as it goes most of the time !!

It was such a big deal when we were kids, now it seems dinky. Haven't been to Klondike Days in a long while, but it's so much fun. Maybe I could see you there when you go. The POA is a cutie.

DK,

The Nikkeii is nice, but doesn't sit in your lap or anything. I'll try to get a picture of the friendly one that thinks he's a dog.

Awww, that would be so nice of you. Thank you, and sorry for causing you any trouble.
That Nikkeii sure is pretty.

Holy flying cows you all talk alot, I check every morning, at least once during the day, then again at night before bed and I some times still have to go back 2 pages or more
