I am seriously thinking of pairing up all of my silkies with showgirls and specializing in showgirls. Some will hatch out silkie however unless you pair up a silkie with a non bowtie showgirl. In that case you will get all bowtie showgirls. Then if I pair up the Non bowtied showgirl with a Non Bowtied showgirl you will get all Non bowtied showgirls.

Pony is doing great !!! I'm not doing anything any different when I'm uploading !! I will try more tonight !! For now I"m searching for pony harness's and then do more chicken chores then I'm going back out by the pony and horses. Good day for grooming.

Ok, Now that I"m all fired up I'm going to get some things done around here !!! I called a guy that is basically a neighbor, about 5 miles away !!! That makes you a neighbor up here !!! I had bought a donkey from him two years ago. Traded him a nice saddle for her. Then last year I traded him fresh eating eggs for some guinea eggs to hatch. His guinea coop smelt of amnonia so bad You had to step back out of it.
Well to make a long story short none of the eggs were fertile !! Another guy I know also got infertile eggs from this guy !! Well, of course he never offered more guinea eggs, never asked just left it be.

So anywho, I know he goes to swaps and I knew he had a pony driving harness. I called him yesterday before I got the pony and asked if he had one. Yes he did. I asked what are you asking for it ? He didn't know. He is the type that gets things for nothing, keeps them for 10 years then charges for sentimental value !!! And if he knows you want it or need it will jack up the price.
He said he didn't know what it was worth. I said I don't either cause I've seen them on CL starting at $30 up to $175. He said well if you can get one for $30 go do it. I said well it's in Fondulac. I said well find out what it's worth and let me know and I'll let you know if I get the pony !!!

Ok so I get the pony. This guy is known to be a shister but otherwise seems like a nice guy BBUUUUUUTTT......

So I call him today. I said well, I got the pony. Any idea what you would be asking for the harness ??? I said the pony is about the size of the donkey bought from you. He said well I'd have to get $75 for it.

I said ok, well would it be ok if I came and took it home to try it on the pony before I commited to it. His reply "Well I don't know about that " and "I do have another guy interested in it" I said ok then I think you should sell it to the other guy. I can find plenty of them online. Then he said well then you are going to have to send them back if it doesn't fit. I said "Yes I can return them if they don't fit" I didn't want to add that I know he wouldn't return it. He was making other comments that I can't remember but it was more being argumentative about why I wouldn't want to buy someplace else but doing nothing to make me want to buy from him... That's when I lost it. Oh well !!!

Ok I know a stranger wouldn't just let you take it off their property but what, Everyone knows everyone up here. Maybe that is the problem, he is to interbred to have common sense or intellegence !!! Boy am I fired up.
I said well you know if you don't trust me to take it and bring it back then just sell it to the other guy, Thankyou.

What a BLEEP !!!!! No more dealings with him. Now I know why he has the reputation that he does !!!! Plus he told me when I bought the donkey to twist her ears when she didn't listen !!!

Ok, I'm outta here !!! Royally Pissesd off but I'll get over it !!! Now I'm sure I'll be the talk of the town !!! Gosh I'm acting like I have PMS or something !!! And that's not possible..... Flashbacks !!!

Nice Afternoon All... nice job on the FFW Doc...gotta love that cooked to perfection, eh! Gonna be giving the fish a chance tomorrow for perfection!

We can our potatoes using the Raw pack...one can also use the Hot pack. We peal our spuds, rinse and pack in wide mouth jars using golf ball to hard ball size. Add 1 tsp of canning salt and fill the jars with boiling water to 1/2 inch from the top. We process for 40 minutes in a pressure canner at 10lbs of pressure. Keep the pressure steady to keep all the water from cooking out of the jars. if you end up with some jars that aren't completely full...no prob, just use them first.

Found the first pullet egg today. Prolly one from from the java/buckeye cross pullets that were saved. The javas always mature faster, so I'm thinking the buckeyes will start before long, as well as the blue americaunas. Still thinkin the blues are bantys, and not LF.

Well, the trip to Madison today for the peachick was a nice long drive there and back. I am so happy I got this chick though. ADORABLE.

Who has the sibling? The white one??? Did you see this one when you were there, because this one is STUNNING. I can't wait to see it full grown. It is surely Pied - she wasn't kidding! And the CL pictures didn't do it justice at all. ADORABLE

We are in love....

Making more ketchup tonight. canning it too... later!
