Amy he was back this morning while I was in the garden. Wish I would have had the camera with me. You could count the fillings in his grinning teeth! I know he puts in a lot of long hours/days/weeks but man that's gotta be fun! Think he's hit this 80 next to us 3 times this week. Don't think they'd spray it that much if it was field corn or siliage. Might have to go on a walk about........ Excuse me sir what's in the bag?

Tomski good to hear from you, been quite awhile. Glad to hear you weathered the storms! Still like your avitar! TO just unhook the wagon and close your eyes. When we made hay at the farm we had to chock the wheels, the barnyard was real steep! More than one load was lost on the trip back from the ridge and in the barnyard. More than a few scary rides down from the ridge always a big WHEW when you got the load down. The kids were always made to get off for the trip down. I'm sure Dornes can appreciate that. Got the beans picked and the last of the carrots for us in freezer. Going out to get set up for butchering. The twins are out and about so don't know if I can catch them. BUT tomorrow I'll be ready. Gonna leave them whole. Just the right size.

Jim you and DH ET sure know how to keep the tractor and lawn equipment guys in business. I don't know who is worse !! Now we need hoses for the tractor. Of course he bought the wrong fittings at FF yesterday. So another trip to town !! And the gardebn looks so nice because after we paid $60 to tune up the small mantis (and additonal for the big troy built) it blew a rod or piston or whatever the He!! they have in them. He brought it back and the guy said it would cost more then it was worth !! So I was checking out the bank statement at the same time he was at the place and noticed a $400 charge fromt he repair shop. I thought What the H is going on !!! I was going to call and ask if they used my debit card by mistake to repair someone elses lawnmower or something !!!! Before I could do that DH ET gets home with a brand new Stihl little Tiller !!! This was a few weeks ago. He played with that for days !!!! These are some very expensive veggies !!!!!! Would have only cost $100 to fix the old tiller !!! I asked if he gave anything back for the tune up that we just forked out $60 for..... Nope !!!
Must have sucker written on our foreheads. I guess better that then looser hey ???

The young neighbor man borrowed our older brush hog yesterday and when he brought it back he cut down a field that DH ET is going to someday plant whatever for deer. While he was here I asked if he could cut the field were we are fencing for the horses. I figure with our tractor being so fragile we don't need to take a chance on cutting the field with it cause we need to have it to dig the post holes. We have tons of blackberries that are just getting ripe. He asked if I wanted them cut down !!!! NOOOOO !!! He said they are fun to cut and sound cool when you do it !!!!

So I have to go pick berries today. I was going to buy some brandy and make blackberry brandy. Anyone have recipe or advice on how to do it?

Went to Rhinelander to Foster & Smith to get Parrot food. I am going to stop complaining about paying $10 for my layer feed for 50 lbs. I pay $37 for 20 lbs of parrot food, ON SALE !!!

I remember when I could get that for $20 !!
I got some good deals on other stuff as well. I love their clearance section. Remember I bought Butt dog that hammock bed at Petco. Size small for $24, 1/2 price the day of her surgery? Well they had a size large there for $10.
So I bought that for her too !!! She didn't like the small one. The cats took that over !!
I got some mini fly masks for $3.00 I think they might fit the pony, if not I will list them on CL since I have some weanling ones to sell as well. Got bunch of other horse stuff real cheap. They only carry so much horse stuff and now they say they are getting out of the horse stuff.

I don't get there to often cause even Clearance stuff adds up FAST !!!
Otherwise their prices are very high IMO !! The pet industry sure makes a killing don't they?
Wonder when they will start carrying chicken items with all of the backyard city chickens now?
On the way home I stopped at a neighbors to see their brand newborn baby Llama. How adorable !!!! Two days old. DH ET saw it when it was only 2 hours old the other day. I will upload pictures later of the cute little girl !!
They have friends there that are camping out in their pasture for the weekend and are going to go for trail rides today and invited us over tonight for a bonfire !! So that ought to be a blast !!!! Can talk horses for a change !!!!!

Well, I had better get a move on. Lots to do today if I'm going to go out a socialize tonight !!!! Looks Like I'll be the designated driver. They said someone is bringing tons of beer. DH ET will have a good time !!!

Oh and I don't now how far Menomonie is but you are welcome to some roosters. I have RIR, maybe a Domonique, EE, Ameraucana (blk), Maybe a blk Orphington and if I think of anything else I will let you know. Oh and silkies !!!

Good afternoon all! I got my parents coming down today from Superior so we are giving the stove and oven a work out! I made carmel brownies, potato salad, deviled eggs, chicken salad and sliced some fresh cucs. BF will be on the grill with pork chops marinated in his sercret marinate. This is the first time they will be down here since I moved in (June), it can be so hard to get schedules to match up when I have to spend so much time in Ashland. Im also trying to clean and we are still unpacking. Im so ocd I cant believe we are still living out of boxes

For anyone interested in pawpaws, here is a pic of mine. The one in the foreground is about 6 feet tall, the other is around 5.

And I picked some huge pears yesterday from my tiny little tree. They were so heavy they broke one of the branches.
