Anyone interested in a few Gold necks, I have around 25 or so and can't keep them all, they are out of a great line, with the dk gold in the roo's which keeps the gold in the hens, its a hard one to find, if you handle them often they aren't flighty, but they are not as calm as a Cochin, either. email or PM if interested. I'm starting to sort them so should know who needs to find a new home soon. I will have hens and roo's. If they are not sold the extra will be going to Portage in the sale cages, so if you are going to Portage I can meet you there.

Evening all... what a long day... and no energy, thanks to poor sleep last night and about a 45 minute nap late this morning. Had to run out and buy a new card for my camera and a flash drive to get my pics off the computer, would hate to lose them.

Got a few shots in yesterday and today and was surprised to find this.... is there something going on with the bugs we don't know about?

I'm not sure what the odds were of me getting the crazy shot of the bee, but another bug, doing... what? Surrendering? Yoga? Worshipping the sun? Dancing?

Well, off to bed for some much needed sleep!

Please come buy some of our crap so my wife will quit bugging me about putting it on Craig's List and so I can park my car in the garage again.
I promise to sell it very cheaply because I do not have the strength to haul it back to the basement.
If I'm lucky I will be able to spend some quiet time hiding in the hole in the basement where this junk has been piled for the past ten years.
That's all I ask out of life. Just five minutes in a dark quiet place where my wife, kids, and retarded dog can't find me.
There are very nice toys and clothes from my ungrateful children who refuse to grow up and leave home.
There are some nice things that we never even used because we didn't need them in the first place and we had no room for them upstairs.
There are some attractive and contemporary dust collectors. My wife's friends gave her some really good stuff to sell because they feel sorry she is married to me.
The neighbors gave us some really good stuff to sell because I think they want me to get some cash so I will go to the bar and quit sitting out in the front yard all day.
I promise there are some good deals here. If you show up about 1:00, I'll be giving stuff away so I never have to carry it up and down the darn stairs again.
Please take away this monument to all the overtime that I've worked for the past twenty years so that I can rebuild it anew by wasting some more of my life at my meaningless job.

So apparently what he said is very true...

Not much went on again today. DH did bring home a small box of sweet potatoes they were going to throw out where he works. Apparently they ordered way too many and they are starting to go, and no one wants the small ones. I chopped up and cooked some for the chickens but most didn't look bad at all. So I peeled and cut them up for us! I'm going to can a bunch and freeze some. He says more will be coming! I love free food!

What we don't use the chickens can have and what they don't eat can go to the compost.... never waste!

I was almost done chopping them up when I saw this! Kinda freaky!

Here's the goose I was telling you guys about. I gave the thing some attention and now he needs a human with him all the time. He chases the car when my mom leaves and now he has been climbing the deck stairs and tapping in the patio door. She is annoyed. I'd probably invite him in. I had a Canada goose that did the same thing. Only she'd fly above the car when I left. Hopefully he'll grow out of this. Because she is sick of it.
