Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

FT that's gotta be a real bit*h! Don't think I'd even give it a second thought. I'd just put on a shoe and go, what ever is on the other leg works, screw em! I'm sure I've been the topic of quite a few convo's being color blind with what I wear

Maybe that's what started me down the path to not give a rats patuty what people think of me!

I live 2 miles from my parents, on the same road. We have a unique set-up so if they need me for anything, all they have to do is pick up the phone and dial #1 and it rings me. Mother has hard time remembering and though she doesn't have Alzheimers, she does have the little hints of it. Father is one who cannot hear all that much, his sense of common sense is just about gone and he has severe arthritis in his fingers (they are angled) so there is a great deal of things they cannot do like haul in firewood or cut down a tree and sometimes I'm called to hunt down my mothers glasses or some little thing she just cannot remember where it is. When they pass on, then their property, though not set up for hobby farming, will be put through that very task...I'd insert photos if I knew how to do it, but I'm no tech whiz

I'm not with a mate, so its just me taking care of them.

I'm glad to hear he is doing well. That rehab looked pretty intensive, not to mention expensive too. I wish they would have worked with me on some of that stuff. At least his injury looks like it was low. He's lucky that way. I hope he continues to improve!

Good idea!!! I think we should start planning something???

Where should we have it? That's my first question.

As far as a western-WI bash-should we invite MN/WI border BYC'ers as well? I know there are people in Hudson, New Richmond, and St Croix that may be interested. What about New RIchmond? Or even Amery?

I don't know if we want to invite the neighbors across the river . . . .
Kidding! We could throw that out there and see if we get anyone interested.

I thought you'd like it CC. Lucky for them, the expense falls under worker's comp. Carolyn, his wife, still writes almost daily on CaringBridge; she describes the therapies and their day-to-day. Terri, he is paralyzed from the waist down. He was getting some sensation, like if a nurse pulled tape off his leg he said it hurt. The latest MRI showed complete paralysis, but there always is hope.

I just have my mom and she is in an assisted living place in La Crosse. I consider it more a ~strip your money from you place~ that does little for you. My sister and I are trying to figure out what her mental status is at the moment. Although my sister lives in Maine. She has lots of good ideas and then deligates to me. NOT But she tries. Awe well just part of the family dynamics thingy,. My mom has been having some issues lately so I have been travelling there to help out. My DS30 babysits the chickens and the dog. I dont know how long that will last. My mom also suffers from hearing loss~at least we finally convinced her to get a hearing aide. I feel I will be doing a lot more travelling to La Crosse from now on. Although it is ONLY 2 1/2 hr drive, the overnighters are more difficult to arrange around DS30s schedule..

Wish we(sis and me) could get her to move to Eau Claire area. There is a very nice place here and serves wonderful home made food daily. Thats a big plus as she eats institutional food now and complains constantly.
