They called and our deer are ready to pick up. Only problem, no money till Friday, no room in the freezer and to pooped to drive and get it. It will have to wait til next week.

Which will be another busy week. Our Chocolate Lab is getting spayed on the 29th. And tons of other stuff I suppose !!!! Never a dull moment.

One of the problems with waiting til they can't make decisions by themselves is if they didn't designate you as their legal and medical power of Attorny.
At least like in our case our Aunt has no children. Luckily she did do that but not until just recently ! And it was tough !!
It's like they revert back to children and get stuck sometimes in the terrible two age !!

My Godmother, I call her Aunt Bette on my Moms side of the family is the same age as my Aunt Esther (that I have been referring to here) which is 89 yrs young and Young she is. She takes care of all the old folks (and that's how she refers to them)lol at the apartment complex that they live in.

She fell last month and yesterday had to have surgery on her spine. Guess it went well. And it is considered a same day surgery ! Knowing her she will be home. They had to put some cement in her spine !!! Ouch !! If you were to call anybody a Saint it would be Aunt Bette !!!

Shoot just lost a bunch of what I was typing by hitting the undo button, if I hit it again I'm afraid it will undo more !!! Why don't they have a redo option.

Anyway, this is why I came on to post. Anyone care to a skyview of my place. I described it before but to ticked to again.You might have to shrink it a bit to see the whole thing. You can see the 20 acre hay field with all of the round bales south of our house. Hopefully half of that will be fenced for pasture next year,.

It's a Christmas Miracle!!
Finally my hens started laying again. I think the strike is officially over. I don't know what I did to deserve the coup the little buggers staged, but, at least I've got good tasting eggs again.
Maybe it had to do with locking them up and leaving lights on to confuse them about the length of the day. It took a while, though.
So, it was eggy French toast for supper.
I don't know if any of you have had any luck with the theory that the animals talk on Christmas Eve at midnight.....but, in case it's true I'm going to have a heart to heart with those hens.

Gaelio...... Sure now at the stroke of Midnight our familys are going to wonder what the heck when we all throw on our coats and head to the chicken coop !!!!

Will be interesting to hear what everyone had to say .............. Especially all of the animals at Jims house !!!!

Maybe I'll just plant a bug and easedrop on what all of mine have to say !!!!! If I save their gifts till after the holidays maybe they will all be saying nice things !!!

How did I get my username? Well, Its NOT because of me being a meat and taters fella. Actually, its from the hats I wear that are in tatters. I wear them until they no longer can sit firmly on the ole noggin...hence, tatters. And just so you "kiddos" and ladies know, I can dish right back, so be on your guard (you all have been warned)

I have power of attorney with my parents, even though its not really needed yet. Thankfully it was mother who decided it was best and it really upset my older sister as she likes to be the important one of the family but mother is a wise old bird and doesn't make too many mistakes when she deals with her kids

Evening All... Everything is fine here. Busy as heck, and still in a fowl mood from the Packer beating. They sucked in all 3 phases of the game...offense, defense and special teams...evryone is right as to how they were totally beaten. There now I feel better!

We bought a couple of the Quartz infrared heaters to save on the wood pile. I'll let you know what I think of them. Aldi's had them for $129, that's 1/3 of what most places charge. Anyone have one of these besides me?

I should be baiting the deer. This is a gentle Dec for bowhunting. Just hate to harvest a doe and prolly won't go.
