Well, you snooze you lose !!! My cell phone battery was dead and my sister called. They decided to leave for Racine today rather then tomorrow. They wanted to meet up in Crandon for Lunch and watch the game (they only get one station at the cabin) but I never checked my phone for messages. By the time I did they were on their way home. Guess they will bring up our fish in the end of January when they come up again.

In the mean time I should eat up what we have hey??? Better put that on my list of things to do this week !!

I feel the same way you do about Flynn CC. Did you see Rodgers kinda shaking his head in disbelief that Flynn could throw for 6 TD'S in a backup roll with the best receivers on the sideline? This is something no QB in GB has ever done....Way to GO Matt! $$$$ ching ching

Sounds like the fish won't be floppin anymore by the time you fry them up FT. Bummer....I kinda like that last curl they make in the fry pan when still fresh.

Good evening! THe company did the ol' eat and run...oh well; all is cleaned up and put away and I am relaxing with a coke. Feels good to finally be sitting down! We had a rousing game of Pictionary--we play a little differently, way more fun! Then the girls and I played a charade game where the cards go down. Guestures. It probably would be more fun with a lot of people playing. Last night we played Bubble talk. We had 7 or 8 playing...that was fun.
THe prime rib to day was definitely not as good as last week's! This one was the Mexico one. I dont know if it was because of that, the fact that it had been frozen or that I cooked it a bit too long. It just was not as tender as the other one. Still good though. I made that, parsley-ed potatoes, sweet potatoes, Waldorf salad, mixed veggies and deviled eggs. We had a ton of snacks during the game...the OM was afraid that we wouldnt have enough meat and he wanted me to go and buy another one! Yeah, we had leftovers! I dont think anyone was even very hungry for dinner!

It makes me a little sad. He was one of my blue Ams that was going blind. He was very nice but was going to end up being another house roo once he was fully blind...thought I should get rid of him before I became even more attached! The people bought 8 ducks and wanted 2 roos...I had a hard time finding two to sell...so I sent him.

I hope you are feeling better soon Raim...not fun at all when you are the only one that does anything for sure! You can just watch it all pile up and up. I was glad that I did the floors last week and so the girls and I got the house cleaned up rather quickly today! That is a good thing cause they I wont have to do too much before more company comes next week! Which reminds me...I better call my Aunt and make sure she knows she is welcome to come out!

Well I am feeling really tired so I guess I am going to head up to bed to read...I have to work tomorrow. I want to look up a few things in the SOP too....I was taking a close look at some of my birds today...got to make some decisions....

Jim... Yep, Sounds like a pet goose to me. Once he fallows you around the yard and sits on your lap he's a pet... or your feathered son.

Blue eggs don't seem to photograph well

but here's some of my blue eggs and what I think are guinea eggs (Jim, what do you think?) The egg on the far left has fine red speckles, what breed lays those? I think it came from one of my crosses. The egg on the right is an average egg.

Got our last load of bartered wood today. Hope DH can scare up another deal soon. This cord has some heavy ash in it... not sure how ash burns.

Well, off to make egg salad then bed... night all.

"Poor fish" are delish! Cind hope you can find some wood the coldest part is coming! Had lasagna new years eve thanks to Cindy mentioning it, now TO parsleyed potatoes.

Needed a side for the steaks tonight. Good idea! Maybe the toughness was the reason you had leftovers?

It actually wasn't that bad outside yesterday other than the wind. Supposed to be on the other side of the hash mark tonight. Brr! The bator is holding temp/hum nicely! H&R how many now? Want to sand the bedroom today we'll see, knee is already bothering me.

Wrap it and suck it up I guess. Really don't want to have it replaced or more surgery!

Time for my stupid question of the day! TO, Jim, bl4 do you turn duck eggs 3 times a day like chicken eggs? Just thinking ahead for when the turner comes out. Don't know what I'll do with a duck, house duck maybe.

Jim- you can always name the Goose "Pate" or "Dinner"... I had a pig named "Bacon's Hog Heaven" .. cuz that is what she was gonna be... and go..

I went with Kristi P to get some more silkies, she answered an ad on the CL and it was super close to where I live. I gave her a small vari-kennel.
She gave me two special needs silkies, of the 5 the lady gave her.
One is a cute white silkie pullet that has her toes curling up on her feet, I talked to FT and we are going to try some vitamins and cardboard shoes...
The rooster is gorgeous but has an enlarged hock, so not sure how to help him.. I don't know how well he walks.

L did two mountains of em this weekend with all the cookin and bakin she did. Got a slw egg yesterday for the first time since June. And got a smaller brown egg this morning. The slw's lay a light colored egg. Btwo usually lays huge eggs.
