Its ok CC... I am thinking of starting a chicken photography business and for a very large fee your chicks too can be popped into various settings... barns, tractors, construction vehicles, sesame street houses, sand box toys, etc etc...

You can believe that I am going to try something new with my chickies! Just wait until I start putting them in aprons and little Amish bonnets... you'll LOVE it...

Sorry. Done that one already. The aprons, at least. I'm still waiting on Cind to make the bonnets. Ezmerelda sure the heck needs one. Poor girl is bald!

Just make sure you wipe the poo poo off of the toys before you give them back to the kids. Or leave it so they build a healthy immune system !!

Can I feed the chickens leftover wet dog food? Watching my inlaws dog for 2 weeks and she is not eating her wet food we put out. Looks like it is lamb based

Good Morning All! Will get some pics today TO some of them have the neatest patterns on the their feathers. Think Mr Phoenix was a busy boy. IDK. Not seeing the white on the wings like CC's ugly babies maybe more Marans in there than originally thought. They seemed to have adapted to the white light ok but their definitely awake more. As long as they get some sleep think they'll be ok. Changing bedding quite often now.

Finally got the last of my tax crap yesterday was worried this is the first year since retireing that it was a normal year. Should be able to do them myself from now on. Fed return will cover the state debt within $3. I broke even!

Thought I was gonna owe a lot more. So now I can go ahead with my new wood furnace plan. Sale on the one I want ends today talk about timing. Have to go to Mn to pick it up in the BFF's truck, road trip! After talking to them and ordering the stove I'm hoping for enough time to pop the lid on a paint can. Really honest. Cind hope your feeling better soon! CC mine are all girls too... or will be after a drive by at FT's

Good morning! Yeah! The ducks are laying for you! That is what I thought with that ? egg I gave DrH...maybe mine will really start soon! They are paired off! Great pics CC--I was just reading last night about the striped genetics and yours will all be striped because the Moose carries 2 copies of the striped gene and the hens carry only one color gene so all babies will be striped. Then I think if you would breed those babies together you get something else...but I cant remember how it goes...if the hen is striped something else happens...man I wish my brain could remember better!

I guess FT was right and the whole package goes South after 50! Speaking of FT...I think you might be taking delivery of some adorable roos in the near future! Maybe you ant Bigfam can get together and sell pictures of them?
I think Tom is taking my old stove DrH...but maybe he will like yours better? (you rat, I want to get it OFF my front porch!)

So Bigz, are people nice to wolves up where you are? I was amazed when I saw one near Castle Rock while riding with DD20. That animal was HUGE and beautiful too. Just think, if the pair hangs around you wont have to worry about rabbits and deer eating your garden any more!

Well--I have to cook today so I guess I better get my butt outside and let the chickens and friends out before I go. I might have to stop at the store too...I never gave the shopper my list.

BBP! Oh TO don't want to screw up your deal! But I'll throw this out there if anyone is interested. New furnace should be here the middle of next week was planning on installing the new one after it warms up but can be done now. I've used this furnace for several years to heat the entire house without being tied into the duct work. Just blowing it in from the back porch. I load it around 9 pm and have good coals in the mornings. House is in the 70's when I get up. Will hold 26-27" long chunks. It has a secondary heat chamber. The blower is controled by a thermostat. Now for the down side. There are heat cracks around the door frame and on the back allowing more air in but could be covered with sheet metal for a better seal. Not serious enough for any sparks to come out of it, it's just cracked. I'm keeping the hot air blower. So you'd have to get one. And it weighs around 4-500 lbs. It's on sale today and forever for free U come and get it! Have forks for the tractor to load it.
