Are you serious CC?! Congrats on the baby of course.... But what the what? Pictures please.... NOW!

Let's just wait and see what you get! I am more than happy to give or trade you if it's not a LO. I want you to have your dream chicken. A sweet soul deserves it. Now... when you are sassy and snotty, I rethink that theory... But then I go back to thinking you're a good sh*t !

All 3 have hatched, thankfully, but the first 2 are definitely black. The third looks like it is salt & peppery, but we'll see how she looks when she dries off.

Here is the first one right out of the shell:

Here is #2:

And here is #3 on the left:

raim and To very cute chicks! those look like silies but you will know in days when they get their wing feathers in if they are pure or mixed. wink luv To the dog is pretty cute too. So precious how he/she is watching the chick/s. BBP I am so glad that your lavender hen is still there. Keep an eye on her.

I have a bator full of bantam cochin eggs and when I candle I can remove the quiters/non-starters to make room for the dozen and a half more. I am now doing AI so they should start coming up all fertile.

AWE that third one looks nice CC!!!!!

They are all adorable. The incubator looks interesting. Hmm.

I agree with what was said about the chicken drop-I would like to see it done away with.

Cute Chicks CC. If they are black they could be split to lavender. Bf4m where did you get the eggs? Did they say they were bred lavender to lavender? If so they should not be throwing black.

CC if you get a pair out of them you can breed back to each other and get your llavender chicks. Then only breed the lav to lav. Unless they are actually blues you would get 100% lavenders.

Reminds me of the cochins that I have that hatched out blues and blacks. I saw the pictures of the breeding pairs and they all looked lavender to me. Weird.

Evening all!
OMG! Such adorable chicks everyone!

I wish I could have goats, I love Oberhasli's. I think they are so beautiful.

Ok, as promised, I took picks of Ben's new friends.
They are two Rhode Island Reds and two bantam Birchen Moden Games.

I will take some better pics tomorrow. These are not the best.
The intro went ok and Ben was picking on the bantams. The Rhode Islands stuck up for their little friends and eventually Ben behaved. I gave them the mini meal worms and the Modern Games were very thrilled with this development. Ben-not so much! LOL! Now they are all buddy buddies and all is good in the world.

Guess I'm going to have to get my lavenders together and show you guys how it's done !!!

Will be interesting to see if I get all lavenders. If I don't I'll give up.
