Windy Morning Here too This place is also creaking in all the wind.

Terrible news bf4..On my prayer list for sure....this won't be easy even with time....oh my, oh my.

Welcome to the new folks. Hope you enjoy the cheeseheads...great folks here.

Nice pics, thanks for sharing them.

Glad the severe weather missed us here. Gotta be really hard to have your house blow away, or lose a child in the storm.

Prolly gonna run down to the neighbors....We have a new mail person and have been getting all the amish neighbors mail....prolly take them some eggs. I have plenty to share. One of the young ones reads Rolling Stone....

to all the new addtions!

Quick cute/puzzling story: I sell eggs at work and have recently been bringing in duck eggs from BBP. My SO has an office with a fridge so he gets to be the "pick up spot". Today when he arrived he has an egg wrapped in bubble wrap placed in a bowl, with a note on it "Please save this wild baby duck egg". WTH??? So now trying to confirm who dropped it off...and WHAT I am suppossed to do with it?

(BBP-Interested in tryng to hatch it?

)

Update: The note mentioned he found in laying in his yard. Its light cream in color and the size of a med/lrg chicken egg

Well this is certainly weird! I wonder if it is an egg "left over" from a nest of wild ones in their yard or something...maybe they think it would hatch? Or their dog got the rest of the eggs so they want to save one? It is odd for sure. You'd better watch out in case they start bringing you baby Robins and other wild things to "save!"

I had a few minutes before I have to leave for work so I though I'd show you what I found when I went out for chores:
First baby goose of the year! I tried to find what nest it cam out of but had no luck. None of the geese walking around seemed to mine that I put the little bugger in my pocket so now I have a gostling, a guinea and a chick in the chick TV! The rest I put in the basement brooder room. DH is going to have a fit! Oh yeah...he's gone for a week! When the cat's away....sheesh, I hope I like that horse now!

They obviously think it will hatch and that I am the person to do it!!! (Must say-tempted to stick it under my broody hens-although I didnt want to get into raising ducks). And funny-I jsut said the same to SO-"Watch next it will be robin eggs on your desk!" I work in the twin cities-and am pretty sure they live in the city so most likely either something got the rest of the eggs or this was a quick "Drop off". I am thinking of emailing them and asking.
