Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hey she found her dress!!!!

Now all she needs to do is find out what corner to stand on........

I am completely kidding here, she found a BEAUTIFUL TASTEFUL dress that covers everything and is just slightly above the knee.

Picked up some pretty little silver heels and a matching handbag to go with.... all for under $100.

And since you asked.....

They keep swapping nests. They have also separated the eggs into two distinct nests, but I bet they are still swapping them out. This is Maggie's first time setting eggs so I hope she keeps at it.

1st of all don't bite a peppercorn! HOT! lol made pot roast in the crock pot. took for ever! lol
we were working up stairs and we could smell it and getting very hungry lol
BL4 very cute ducky girls love the B/W one :D Love the 2nd dress lol I agree about the first one lol
TO very cute duckling! did you say what kind they were? can't wait till mine hatch.
I may need a bigger incubator, did I tell you we found a big homemade one out in our sheds? IDK if it even works or what shape it's in. we can SEE it but can't get to it. lol

lone chick is failing to thrive, oh darn lol I know sounds bad of me but 1 Its a roo (according to wing tips) and 2 it's all alone. yes I tried feeding it but it wont. (dang it I bite another peppercorn) when I first put it into the brooder box I showed it food and water several times. it had NO interest. usually you show them and they get a second drink by itself?? IDK oh well. again sounds bad of me but what can I say.

I shall add ground pepper instead of peppercorns lol those things are HOT! lol well just an over load of pepper all at once. lol
I got one more 3' X 10' wall to stud in upstairs. bought windows last night $500 worth, gotta return some and buy a different one. dang.
ok I gotta run and finish the wall lol
later

Good evening! Taking a little break after getting all the dinner stuff done. THen I get to go out and do chores...but first DH anad I am going to candle the eggs that are supposed to hatch in 4 days. (better late than never hey?) He doesnt like to share his flash light (think I mentioned this already) so I have to wait to do it on his time...the one that I have is just not bright enough! Maybe sometime I will have to invest in one of those ovalights, then I will be able to do it all alone! Oops--he just came in!
I will report the results! Terri O

This is my really beat up bird I got today. I did not shoot the tail, the rest of his body is that beat up too. 23lbs 10" beard, 1" spurs. I got to share the experience with my dad today even though it was short, I shot it at 6:30 this morning. We extended our hunt with my favorite part of turkey hunting and that is breakfast!

My daughter was really proud of dad and gave me a big hug and a high five, it was kinda funny, and she wanted to be in the pictures too.

I set 50 muscovy ducks and 12 Peking ducks for a friend. I think that is the number anyway...

Nice job NJ! Cute daughter too! Well we got the eggs done...took all of 5 minutes. I had them double-stacked and I tossed only 4! DH was saying good or not so we will see how many I have...he didnt watch for movement only mass. Two from my new Australorpe roo were clear, a guinea egg and one from Tommy's wife Tina. The whole floor of the bator is solid eggs ready for hatching. Wish them luck!

When I cleaned out the Muskovy nests that hatched today there were 3 left in Frankie's nest. All had pipped and one of those was nearly zipped but none came out. She ended up with 6 alive. The B&W one left 4 eggs and one duckling that didnt get out of the box. Two eggs were bad and two were good but stuck in the eggs. She walked out with 8 alive then proceeded to take some of Frankie's babies! I think poor Frankie only has two or three left to raise! It is kind of funny cause the B&W is one of Frankie's babies from two years ago. She is taking after her Mom for sure!

OK--I better go out and close up. I sure hope the geese done make so much noise tonight...they had me out at 3AM because I thought something was after them...didnt see anything but who knows?
Sweet dreams all! Terri O

Question for those of you who live in or around Madison. I used to order a lot of my water and feed dishes from a place called American Livestock and Pet Supply out of Madison. I haven't been able to pull up their website in the last few months and I was wondering if anyone knew if they were still in business? Or had heard anything about them recently?

Thanks CC. Unfortunately neither of the links will bring up their website to order from. Was hoping someone would know if they were still around.
