Hi all
Chickens are a week and half in age . The family has grown attached to them . I on the other hand ,look at them as a bird, go figure. We lost one of our chickens last night . I am not sure it is common or not. The other's sprouted up in a week or so , well this one just lagged and looked like it grew very little. It was eating and drinking , I assumed it was just a slow grower. So I have a 2 barred rocks and Austrlorp left, the barred rocks are a hoot. It turns out our dog is petrified of the chickens . So maybe they will be able to have at it in the yard later in the year. Our dog is about 80lbs , but just ran to his kennel when we showed him the chicken in our hand , it was really weird.
