good early morning folks,

early start today to beat the heat, lots to get done in the gardens still

took my truck for routine maintenance yesterday, found that I have a cracked tie-rod,,,soo ordered one and should be here late morning,,,,talk about throwing the proverbial "wrench" in my trip tomorrow,,,hopefully the parts get here and I won't have to change plans....I won't know until after 11,,,,I hate last minute crap and here I thought I was doing the right thing with the scheduled maintenance,,,lol

No babies yet..... all pipped internally and I poked a pinhole for them. One is making a LOT of noise..... must be a girl.

Hoping I do not come home from work to a bunch of dead ones...

AND I hope they hatch before we leave on Saturday!

Good morning all. All this talk about the Bash, sounds like you all are going to have a blast. The weather will be awesome this weekend so we're going to go spend the day tomorrow fishing. Hopefully we'll catch enough to cook. Well I took shifu out with me to let the chickens out and jeez, I'm really starting to not like the Reds ugh. Two of them bit Shifu and kept trying to go after her, well until I flung one with my foot. Its not like they've never seen her before, I put her outside everyday with no issue. Plus on top of it there is 1 particular Red that keeps biting me when I go to lock everyone up at night. I'm telling you he's going to be the first to the block.

Havent been able to submit in days it seems. lol That shows me to laugh!!!!

Oh know it works. So I will write a little. Saw the TWH on Nightline. Miserable stuff. Most pigs are treated that way, and worse. , really like to see a pig out side on a small farm being a pig. I Dont buy pig meat at the store.!!! Hardly any meat really I am either scared of it or guilty because of the way the animals are treated. Even my dog only gets fish or chicken, no ruminants.

I went to a small farm yesterday and really brightened my day. I had given a millie fleur cochin roo to a nice man at a swap last year. (at least I thought he was) I went to visit his farm to pick out a couple of white Ameraucanas which I have been wanting forever. Here I find out its the man I gave the roo too. The roo is just beeautiful and running around a perfect green lawn with a couple of hens. He even steals catfood. lol The people love him and he is part of their family. They have littler kids and tame bunnies running around the yard and..... just a perfect hobby farm. Really lifted my spirits. The chicken coop was nice about 12X12 and all the Ameraucanas were happy. They had a big fenced in area for the chickens and some goats and adorable baby goats (minis) and a handful of guineas that were fairly quiet (wowser I didnt know they could be quiet) That really made my day. all the animals were so peaceful with each other.

Good morning--just thought I'd pop in before making the "chore lists" for the girls. *sigh* So much to do! I thought DH would be going to work today to get his check--nope! No idea how we are going to put fuel in the truck...he got home late last night.
Got the inside pets fed and watered up. Going out for the rest soon. need a cuppa finished FIRST! Gotta have a little

Cant wait to see you all this weekend! Met a delightful family that came to get hatching eggs for their son's preschool. I sure hope they hatch for them! I have not been running really great on the fertility for the wheatons. I will catch up a gosling for BL4, doesnt look like any more are going to hatch--I will check on them just before we leave. I am bringing ducklings for someone and I thought perhaps I am supposed to bring some Aussie chicks? I will check the bash thread. If I am supposed to and it's not on there please give me a call so I know to bring them! Oh yeah...the plants too and the stove for Tomski---sheesh--we are going to be loaded down!

Better get moving...I think out target time to leave was 12 noon!

Prolly NOT gonna happen! Terri O--who will not be driving stupid! LOL

Morning All!!
I cannot wait to meet you all tomorrow!! This is so cool!!! I'm making the cup cakes today and I have to gather stuff for the Bash.

Sax has a vet appointment for 11:15 today. Nothing bad, just routine blood work, annual Heart worm test, annual Thyroid Panel, liver/kidney function check to make sure his arthritis meds are not wreaking havoc...and *gulp* the scale....I'm not looking forward to the scale part....I think he'll get put on a very strict diet....*sigh* Luckily his teeth were cleaned last year so those are still looking good.
Next week all the dogs have their annual heart worm tests and nail trims. Oh and Ely have his Thyroid test due to.

Ha ha ha ha! I just saw how filthy my 6 yr old's socks were. I told him to get them off because bugs would be attracted to them. Then he looks in between his toes and sees a nice bunch of dirt. Inspiration hit: "son you better makes sure those feet dont get any dirtier, because seeds could grow in all that dirt. Then the roots will grow into your skin..." "Really?!" he says "of course! You know plants need soil, or dirt, to grow right? Well if you let too much dirt get between your toes, seeds will get in there and grow. It's been known to happen... It wasn't very pretty..."

That could have backfired! My daughter left an amazing ring in the tub lastnight. She realized the really soft tilled up dirt and hose make for some real fun!
