I will post a link later. Did anyone watch Nightline Last night about the Tennesee Walker big time trainer that was abusing his horses. Pepsi was the Associations sponser but now put an end to that, Oh come on now don't tell me they couldn't have know something was going on to get those horses high stepping like that !!! They not only sore them with cuts but them put mediations in the sores to make them hurt. Out of 52 horses tested, 52 came back positive for meds in the sores. GD people !!!

I'm glad I just got a coke with my dinner at DQ. I don't think I am going to be buying any Pepsi products for a while (my favorite)

TO you did a good thing by buying a TWH, it will show people that they don't have to look or walk like that to be good and beautiful animal !!

My first horse was a Tennessee Walker. I saw that piece and it made me cry and very ashamed for Kentucky (my mom's mom's family is from Kentucky and I still have family down there and I used to visit as a teenager). Tennessee Walkers are "gentle giants" and naturally 5 gaited but no, they do NOT "strut" naturally. In fact, that high stepping reeks havoc on their spines and entire skeletal system and I have never liked it. I must admit I had no idea the cruelty that was involved to "train" them to do that.

About Pepsi~at least once it was exposed they pulled their sponsorship. HOWEVER, I know for a fact that they are not the only sponsor! What about the other sponsors? I think we need to find out which ones are still on board and go after them!

At least that is what I intend to do!

I hope everyone that's going to the bash has a good time!

My baby girl has been sick this week....the 8 month old..... 3 days now she's not felt well and last night she got a fever. Not bad, I could just tell she was warm. Well, tonight she was just over 103. I gave her a lukewarm bath and got her cooled off to 101 then got her to keep down some ibuprofen. She'd thrown up the tylenol I tried to give her a couple of hours before so maybe the ibuprofen will kick in and she'll get some sleep. This momma is tired!

Aside from that, I found potato plants coming up in the garden! How exciting is that!? And what I previously thought was a volunteer cucumber plant I'm now thinking is actually pumpkin. I found a second one this evening along with a couple of pumpkin seeds, then I remembered hubby throwing pumpkins up in the air and watching the explode in the garden last fall. Who knows how many we'll find out there!

Hey All!
Well it was fun at TO's trying to do chores.. that wasn't the issue.. one of her dogs is a little skittish (ok ALOT) and would not come to me... ran circles around the farm and went near the
road a time or two and TO wasn't answering her phone.. too busy having fun!!. I called H&R thinking she was up at the Bash already, she was very very helpful. I then called BF4m, I remembered she was on the list to be up at the bash...
Lucky for me she answered and then when she got to the Bash... she told TO to call me!!
Well after feeding the flocks, and critters.. I was able to get Mattie in!

Pulled 6 DOA eggs from under the girls, 5 had pipped..... so far I think we have 6 still alive? Nobody has hatched yet, but they are ALMOST there....

I have the most annoying sliver in my finger, and I can't get it out! It is driving me crazy.....

Better hit the hay. Early day and long day tomorrow.

Finished court with the ex today. Things are looking pretty good on that issue.

Its been 9 years coming and I'm glad its over.

I left the husband at home this weekend to tend to the kids and the animals...YIKES

My daughter called last night, wondering when I was coming home! She said that she was trying to help dad understand what he had to do! I told her that she had to trust that he was capable..he'd do it his way and not mine...but he'd get everything done. Her response back to me after hearing this was..."or we will die"

You gotta love her humor!

Anyway, I spent the evening with friends and family that I haven't seen in awhile..good times!

I was thinkig the same thing. If I ever get out of here I might bring some duck eggs.
We were working on the fence until 1:30am.
Didn't get a GD thing done other then that today.

So it depending on morning chores we might make it down for the pot luck, may or may not stay for the night. I doubt he will get the fence working. I think there is a short some place.

Ok, gotta get some stuff done.

Morning all!
Just a quick check in before I hit the shower and finish loading up the car to head on out to the Bash! Whoo Yhoo!! Can not wait to meet people!!! I think I got everything.....I'm sure I remember something important when I'm past the turning point to go back and get it! As long as I remember the chicks and the cup cakes I'll be fine. I also made brownies because I figured why not? I have an extra box or three...LOL!!

Ok gotta get off and get gone!

I may be alone now, maybe I can say something cliche and no one will notice... Maybe not though... I can't think of anything... Huh, oh well, better go turn the eggs only 2 weeks till they hatch. That is my present for my 12th anniversary 24 eggs that might hatch, a little sadness, a lot of joy and some noise that has bettered me as a person.

Today is family day: garage-sale'ng, grocery shopping, snacking, looking at a Peacock, checking out the new lambs at work and more!!!

Although I wish I had time to be at the bash, but 10 hrs in a car Round Trip in one day would not be fun.

Someone drink 3 beers for me.

Got a ton of work done in my garden. Yeah Last weekend I did nada. So yeay. Going to the brush site to get lots of pretty mulch chips today.

Someone who bought some cochins from me last year is coming to look at some silkies. Wow what great luck I am having finding excellent homes. I may just slip her my blues too while I am at it. Hey you cant find excellent homes everyday and silkies need to be watched and coddled so much. (mine allo have the big poofs) I do love them though. Just don't need so many.


So sorry about the pipped ducklings. How sad.
