He just showed me this pic and I thought I would post it...I have to go to bed--early appt in the morning! Sweet dreams!

Yup--this would be the famous TOmmy and CC's DH Steve. Nighties! Terri O

(PS) when I find my camera I will post some of the white elephant fun!
Terri, thank you (& SH or DH

) for posting that pic! Although my DH looks really bad in it.

Tommy looks great though. I hope he is recovered too.

He was quite the imbiber as well! I guess it was the weekend for a few of the guys to cut loose & go a little overboard.

Oh nooooooo! Poor baby!!! Whoever debudded him best fix that tomorrow! Do you have any gauze you can try on him??? Gauze and pressure, Though my goats are so wiggly it would never work....

He'll be fine. I used to have a semi-polled whether that looked like this at least once a month. He grew little scurs that would break off all the time and gush blood. Then one time I cut his hoof too short. I thought for sure he was going to bleed out. No wonder that goat was so dumb. I was freaking out when it happened. I called a few goat people who said not to worry. It was winter and the snow was red! The dog startled him as I was cutting and I took off much more than I intended.

Oh my its been busy here since everyone came back from the BASH and the sass his also increased

This morning, I was making breakfast when one of my kids ran in and said, "Mom, did you hear that?" I said no I hadn't. "A rooster just crowed!!!" OH CRAP. So to summarize this we have 3 RIR roos in the freezer tonight.

Our chicken population is now down to 6 (one RIR hen, 2 red star hens) then we have 3 unknown gendered chicks (one red star that I am wondering whether it is the result of a second generation cross and is actually a roo) then 2 barred rocks that I am not sure of their gender either. I'll have to post some pics and have you all help!

It is so hilarious to me that it is the bionic beeyotch who so wonderfully held my daughter while she cried after having biffed in the gravel. And talked so sweetly to her that the girl wanted to not have me drive us all the way home right then and there after all. And coo'd that there WOULD be kids to play with the next day...

Oh wait I'm poking at your soft underbelly aren't I? So sorry CC!

And phoo, Raim, Chloe's little bestie got sick the next day??? Awwwwww, no fair! Hope she's on the mend, but good! When we got home Chlo made a huge point of showing her Daddy her T-shirt. She told him what it said before she even got it out and was so proud to have it.

We both had such a good time with everyone

....especially you, BigFam! And your stunningly adorable offspring!

Do you live in a place that doesn't take too kindly to roosters living in the neighborhood, CS? Are roos of that age good eatin'? Seriously, I'm so green I really don't know!

Twizz, what a bugger to have an attack on your flock. Must be so unsettling. Nice that the perp had the decency to cull the right ones for you, anyway!

Nigh Nights all!

good evening, I didn't do much today.. I did order 50# of seed potatoes.. the guy I get them from was out, but he contacted his relations and they came up with 25 each of Kenebeks and Russets.. I will get them tomorrow..

I set the large live trap tonight.. hope to catch the midnight visitor.. ( presume it is a skunk) ..

something drew blood from one of the Seb geese and one of the turkey hens.. both back injuries..

the pups are 5 weeks old on Tuesday.. Nora has just about completely abandoned them.. they don't seem to miss her.. they are all eating puppy chow and Nora's canned food if she doesn't get to it fast enough..

CC, don't worry about that feeder.. It is one I had in the car since the last bash.. we don't need it..

the guinea lady is bringing me over 54 eggs to set tomorrow.. I have a dozen of my own to set and a new goose egg that was laid today.. I also have 4 dozen chicken eggs to set for Brian..

I have 8 peahen eggs due on this coming Friday..

going to go to bed early.. lots to do tomorrow..

MXM- our town doesn't allow any chickens

, let alone ones that make crowing noises to announce that they exist!!! Luckily for us, our new neighbors have a hound of some sort and is making plenty of howling noises covering any noise that the roos made today.

The first dinner, aka Blinky, was very delicious as chicken stew over biscuits. These 3 are older and bigger than Blinky (and no...none of today's freezer additions acquired names in the process).

The odd aspect of the evening was that my DH had to point out the size of the gonads of one of the birds to each of the kids following our chicken pot pie dinner.
