My work was canceled due to... Rain. I have some vacation time saved up so I will be OK. Those of you praying for rain can pray that it comes over your house.

On the positive side, my housing value has tripled cause I now have lake front property.

Hey Ken. know exactly how you feel. We are totally stranded. Can't get to town on either access. One way the bridge is under water. In the other direction the culvert is gone. Hope we don't need anything for a while.
For those of you who need rain, Ken and I will get the pipeline going. Just let us know which direction

Good Sweltering Morning All! L got up early so I slept in till 6:11. Nice! Just mowed the lawn, front wasn't bad but the back was really pushin hay field status. Glad that's done! Laura went to let Bob in this morning and there was a coon climbing the run fencing. She opened the door and hollored. She said all four feet came off the wire at once and it hit the ground runnin! Hope that was enough to send it packin! Hey Josh02 Glad you have joined us! DAS nice to hear from you! There were a couple of mia's that just checked in but can't member now. Bf4me can't we all just get along?

DAS and Ken hope your water problems end soon been there done that. FT you've been through enough in life to know you'll be alright!

Things will get better!

A nice hot one today, TG tomorrow it will cool down, no air in our house, and the hubby has neglected to put our window one in the bedroom yet.... 4 dogs on the bed with us doesn't make it much cooler either...

My copper marans are growing like weeds, and all 4 that hatched are hens! Can't believe that myself. The 3 Pens that hatched, 2 are roosters and one is a hen.
2 samaras doing well, still small... lol... my husband commented that they sure don't grow very fast...

My white guinea keet I kept last batch pulled the tendon in its leg over the weekend (must of got caught somehow), now hopping around on one leg, afraid I'll have to put it down.

The adult guineas in the coop with the almost full grown marans are being bullys in the morning before I let them out.......

I have 2 incubators going with a total of 95 eggs, mostly guineas..... hoping there is still a need for guinea keets out there, cause if not, my hubby will be PO if he has to build yet another coop

Although there usually is always a few that I can't part with.....

Stay cool today and drink plenty of water. Am at work and freezing in the 72 degree air conditioned office... brrr.... gotta remember to take off my fleece shirt before I leave for lunch...

Unk - I wish I could be at the point to stake, prune, and all that. My tomato plants have barely even grown out in the garden. I did use old seeds though. I do have one plant on my porch in a pot that DS planted back on Feb with a baseball size tomato on it

Dr. H -- Talk about a productive day getting the lawn cut so early. Good job

Speaking on Lawns, Does anyone else have pure sand as dirt? The main part of my yard is so bare, there is only little tufts of grass here and there. But out by the trees theres grass lol. I would love to have grass again instead of weeds and sand.

Yep its a warm one already, when I jumped online it was 79 already, but that was according to yahoo so it is actually probubly higher lol. I swear that site is always wrong for this area. Anyway, I had an interesting night last night. I got into an argument with my SIL, boy it felt good to b!t@h her out. Everyone in my family just sits back and never says anything to her. Well I didn't hold back lol. I just wish she was up here in person so I could have made it physical . Anywho, I'm pretty sure I'm disowned now from my brother and her, which is fine by me.
My little chicks are 2 weeks old now and getting personalities. The bigger of the two Lakenvelders looks like a Roo lol oh well, and Cochin likes to run around and trying to jump on the waterer already, and the little one just kinda hangs back and watches the show. I took Shifu's dog crate out of the coop last night, I figured with most of the extra roosters gone he may not get picked on. Well I was finally right, I let them out this morning and she was with the ducks

Finally ! I am seriosuly really happy about that, it seemed like he would never warm up to the flock. Of course he still chooses to follow me when I'm out side.

Hmm well I guess thats about it. I should probubly go dump the pools I have out for the ducks and chicks and refill them with fresh water.

Good morning to all! My friend is not coming AGAIN this week...pushed it off to next Wednesday now. She has to take her Dad to a neurosurgery appt. Her Dad is suffering from t he same ailment that my client is...NPH or Normal Pressure Hydrocephaly. They are looking at the same surgery too. I am hoping the surgeon will perform it...risky I guess.

and especially to Cheeseheads! Yes we do talk a lot and if we get to know you we worry too if we dont hear from you in a while...thanks for checking in DAS and I sure hope you dont run out of TP!

Frenchie--I am so sorry that things are rough for you right now! I guess you'd better send DH to work at McDonald's or something! Heck, maybe they'd have a job for you too? Time to tighten the belt for sure...at least you've got chicken to eat!

Hey Dan thanks for that excellent tip on catching coons!!! YEah, I got a SKUNK! (you rat!) I was able to get it taken away and turned loose without getting sprayed so you are one lucky fella! I know you arent supposed to release them but it was only eating eggs so I took it to the canoe launch on mud lake in the public hunting area. There was a huge pile of dead carp so I guess he can learn to scavenge on fish!

Nothing too much going on here...did I tell you all that I took 10 ducklings to Madison on Monday to sell to a woman in Mt Horeb? (she met me at my client's Dr appt) So she gives me the $$ and I put in in my pocket...dumb idea. I pulled my phone out at some point during the day and lost it!!!! Dam^, I hate losing stuff! Especially cash! Well another nest hatched yesterday so that makes 4 in 3 days! I am overun with ducks!

So I am starting to heat up here in the house even under the fan...better go and let the birds out....and see if I got another skunk!

Got the Chicken Chores and Bunny Chores all done, the flower bed and garden watered and the bird bath cleaned, filled and topped off with a little vinegar. Cleaned that bathroom and made DH a nice breakfast. Eggs, bacon, and blueberry muffins. YUM!!

Other then that, I have more to do and I figured today I'll try to stay inside and clean...

The only good thing with the lack of rain has been the grass is brown and crunchie....so no mowing every other day!! Go Me!!!

FT-Sorry your were having a bad day yesterday....Sorry to hear about your Aunt's dog, I had a Deerhound that had Lymphoma. Went Sub-Q just like "Fritz's". I hate to say it, but that is not good. Your Aunt can try to help him but try to prepare her as much as she will allow. We ended up letting Tara go to a Better Place and as hard as that was for us it was best for her. Hugs to you, your sister and your Aunt. Crap, now I'm crying....*sniff*
