Started pumping water at 6pm. 6hrs later and it is starting to look good. The water level went up and down several times and it seems like only clothes and trash got wet. Now to rent a dumpster and get it loaded.
Ok Amy... I hate the pond. I hate the beach. I hate the umbrella shielding the little boys who will play under it. I hate it all!!! And I hate that Greenleaf is 2 hrs and 40 min away... That part really sucks @ss...
Amy, just tell me when. I'd love to have a wine-tasting party on your little beach.
And Bigfam, you forgot the part in the rain dance about the ATV & the shampoo.
Oh, FT mentioned that. Nevermind. Oh FT, I got that e-mail about the donkeys & signed it too. I hear ya on hating certain people.

Thanks! We definitely will.
I'm so, so sorry to hear about your duckies! How horrible, and so fast. I sure hope you don't lose any more.
DAS, you & Ken can send that pipeline south, please.
Hope you all dry out soon. Yikes, you weren't kidding about getting washed out!
Like someone else mentioned (MLH?), our lawn is still brown & crunchy. Sorry to hear about all the damage.
and to the Cheesehead thread, Josh!
Apyl, I'm glad Shifu is finally feeling more comfortable with the flock.
Terri, I can just see the look on your face when you went out & saw that skunk in your trap.
I'm glad to hear you let him go.
Ang, I was wondering where you were. Ouch! Sorry to hear about your mishap. I hope you're feeling better real soon.
Jim, scary about your storm damage. I'm glad you are all ok. Who's bunny???
BBP, sorry to hear about your car.
I'm finally done catching up! You chattys! I had a busy day, lots of watering, house cleaning & what-not. Spent a lot of time out by the chickies. Jack is looking good, but a little slower. He has got the ramp, bridge, ramp thing mastered for getting up onto the roost, as has the last chick who just could not figure out how her sisters all got up by Jack. Finally. Brunswick has been looking really good despite the heat, thankfully. That rabbit isn't skinny either. Ramses is looking & feeling good. He was playing with his favorite toy earlier, a milk ring. That was nice to see. And daddy gave him quite a bit of a turkey hot dog as a special treat. And now I can't stop yawning. Guess I'd better get to bed. Sweet dreams, all!
Good Night CC Thanks for signing !! The donkeys Thank you !! Here's a look at some spoiled A$$e$ Oprah, JJ (Jessy James) Dixie on the right (she's the naughty one) and my Spotted
Draft/Fresian Farah. She will be three on the 27th.Another just of my FAT Belgian having a cold one !!! LOL
Stay Cool everyone !! Thought these pictures would help !
OK, I suppose it is time for me to post again.. I posted yesterday and lost the post.. so I just got P!$$ed off and didn't try again.. let me begin by saying ode to sh!t.. that is how yesterday went..
we had some serious wind with the storms,, especially the second one.. took the tops off of 3 of our wind - break pines, and knocked a large trunk of the maple tree next to the house down.. It in turn fell across the electrical drop and ripped the meter base off the house.. we didn't lose power, but the wire was on the ground.. Annie was in town, so I called her and told her to stop in at WPS and report it.. they were here within the hour.. then we called an electrician who did a lot of commercial work for me when I was contracting.. he was here within a half hour.. surveyed the damage and radioed for one of his guys to come right out.. everything was put back together in less than an hour.. we are still waiting for the insurance adjuster to get here to asses the damage to the house.. he is supposed to come tomorrow..
one of my favorite nephews called today. he lives in Manitowoc. he is coming on Friday to cut the rest of that maple down.. I guess he is worried that I will have a heart attack if I do it all alone.. I already have the first branch cut up and hauled to the burn pile.. 5 loads with the tractor.. I just chained the branches together and dragged them with the tractor..
we just had another nice soaker come through about an hour ago.. still too soft to walk in the garden yet.. However, the corn did sprout and it is still in rows..
I put the last puppy on Craig's list.. It was flagged within 2 hours.. basstirds !!
I have a whole bunch of guinea keets in the TV. they are Marlene's.. I will call her tomorrow.. also a few chicken chicks..
I will have to do a head count soon.. Annie thinks that 2 turkeys were taken by the fox..
I think there was more, but I forgot ..
Vickie, we asked Wave if she knew if you were there.. WTH ?? she does know you, doesn't she ??
so sorry for all the damage, wow! I know how it hurts/angers/bums, all of the above, when you lose huge trees like that, especially windbreaks.
Wave doesn't, or should I say, didn't know me, by face anyway, until the swap. I introduced myself then and we stood and chatted for awhile. That was early tho, before 11 am and I imagine she might have gotten pretty busy later and just didn't remember. Geesh, I really must not be very memorable if no one knows I was there!!!!
Ok, that settles it, next get together, I will be the one in the huge, let's see, hmmm, Pink cowboy hat with a chicken on it! that should make people remember me, ya think???
I know, I know!!!! The "bunny whisperer" is Jim! Geesh, I can't believe he didn't remember me. Chatted with both of them but I must have stood and talked with Jim for a good 20 minutes!
That does it! Next gathering I really AM going to wear the pink cowboy hat with the chicken on it!
looks like a break in the weather here, need some sunny days to compliment the deep soaking we got the last few days
lucked out on the severe storms here, just missed me
Jim take it easy on the cleanup, you have help coming and he'll be ****** if all the work is done
FT this is a very busy time for me, never know when I will be here and not at a couple of job sites I have going, I also help a friend make hay, we are starting that this week. Cage has been here a couple on months, not going anywhere.
vicki sry I missed you, of the 30 or so women Jim and I asked "are you or do you know vicki?" the only one we found was a 20 something in a mini,,,,maybe we got distracted after that
saw a bit on the local news about the floods in Duluth,,,,the freaking zoo floated away,,,,"lions and tigers and bears (polar) Oh My!" seals on the highway,,,,geeze,,,,,good luck to you folks in that area
Well We finally got rain, and I didn't tarp my round bale. Luckily I don't have much left to feed off of it...
I am thinking I need to go back a few pages and find out what FT was wanting people to sign.
