Somebody loves the water. He was laying down with only his head sticking out of the water, but by the time I ran to get the camera from the house he was up and only wanting to splash not lay down.
SUCH great pics!! Awesome!!
Well Prince Charming lived up to his name, we were the first horse unit of the parade, and Prince was the first equine anyone saw...
Ali, my niece loved it too, the theme was "Summer Fun"., the other folks in the oregon horse assc. all had the same idea as me, a round floaty thing,
a bucket to do sand castles, and lays, even the pony got to wear one. And we wore tank tops, except Ali, I wouldn't let her, just to be safe.
And I have a flamingo strapped to my hat.
Here is Ali, on Prince Charming for the Oregon Summerfest Parade.
Afternoon All...Glad bob is home Doc...musta been a heck of vacation, eh...not the kind i had in mind. I think you are right on with the remedy so far...good luck!
Not much new here either... whole chicken cut up for the grill...cooking indirect..smells wonderful.
Yep, gotta get the tiller going this week too...the weeds are on a mission, and I'm gonna be on one too. The lawn needs cut, but kinda like house cleaning in the summer...who cares?
BBP - I'm glad DD isnt home or she would be begging for a horse again
WCC - lol looks like you ladies had fun
Bigzio - I need to tackle my weeds as well, its about to the point of not know whats veg and whats weed
Well not to much occured here. We all just took it easy today and enjoyed the weather. DH and I did start to work on our mess of a shed ( colapsed and has become the junk pile). I found a good cooler in the pile lol. We still haven't gotten to the stuff that some of the walls are laying on, so its still a mystery at whats all under the pile lol. Other than that, not much going on. The roosters that we have left are trying to "ride" what ever will let them lol but so far no one is letting them lol. For some reason my Buff Orpington has his eyes set on my Pekin and the ducks dont take kindly to that. My mallards chase the BO , hiss at him, and bite at his ankles lol.
Well the wet junk is out of the basement and into trash cans and the trailer for free dump days for flood victims... Roto-rooter is coming out in the AM because my sewer line is clogged from the flood. Been pumping only when we need a shower. The chickens are happy they have 2 bales of dry hay spread through their coops and started laying well for me again. My banty cochin is broody again so I have to get 3 eggs from work for her. Other than needing sleep we are doing fairly well.
It's a mess in my area too. Last Tuesday's storm took out 153 trees and my prime hunting woods is pretty much destroyed. I feel for those in Duluth/Superior area. Lived there for a year while taking a college course. I'll be cutting wood years from now as its just me here and no extra help
. Sorry to those who have been missing me, but my days are now spent doing major clean up, instead of working on the area farms.
Good evening! Nice cool breeze blowing in the North window tonight. I actually had to close it a little cause I was getting an earache! We had T-bone steaks. beans and baked potatoes for dinner...just got finished. MMMM! It was really good. I can always tell when I havent had a good dinner in a while. It always tastes so good and I overeat....
DH is flying to North Dakota tomorrow to estimate damages from a fire. I wish he made more $$$ when out of town like at the last place he worked! We were actually ahead then....it was nice!
Just had to close the window all the way...weird. Of course we did just have a dish if ice cream...just what I needed for sure!
DD20 is doing a horse clinic next weekend that is 4 hours away (and it's in WI) I think they might be in someone's neck of the woods! She thinks it is someplace with an "H". The stable is Otter Creek. I am not going along because there is no way I can sit in that truck for 8 hours! They are staying over in a hotel too. Yup...I am definitely staying home. Besides--who would take care of the critters?
Well--it's gettin glate. I think I am off to bed. Sweet dreams everyone! (I dreamed about wolves last night!) Terri O
So sorry for those of you with excess rain...but all storms have missed us and our community has been almost twenty days with zero rainfall. Yuck...sick of watering.
BF...love those goats...wish I can have them but dh would officially kill me for that.
He actually had a look of pride for our chickens today when we had friends from the big city over and they were having a ball with the chicks and my dd was telling everyone's names...we had spent the morning with friends and their two kids at cave of the mounds which was fun, but their 5 year old son refused to talk to others or take any pics with out covering his face...which they say is the norm for him... Well we got them tons of beautiful smiling pics with the chicks...he loved the day old babies and then ds was smart to grab the one 14 week old that is super sweet and gentle and it sat on his shoulder, head and snuggled with him and he had a friend for li. So cute! Hmmm...there Are therapy dogs...think we have a therapy bird in the making!
Going to incorporate my teenagers at 14weeks in with the big birds next weekend I think. Was going to do it this week, but with the day olds in there, don't know if the teens would pick on them to increase their rank. Or will momma take care of them? She does pretty good...besides kicking them hen she scratches...and I have to remind her to take them to the coop for bed.aka. I am putting her in, otherwise she would hunker down wherever she is.
Carol...A looks great.looks like you guys had some fun!
