Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Good morning! JJ I agree with the Doc! Call the guy up and tell him it doesnt work and ask if he minds if you do "a little tinkering" on it. THen if you get it to work dont tell him! (we could make beautiful chicks together)

Sorry about the baby kitty Cind...I hate that the worst! Hopefully the rest will be stronger for it though. You are too good to your fam cleaning out that room until after 4 in the AM! I went up to bed at 8:45 last night! Of course I was up at 2:30 wondering if I was going to get back to sleep!

My friend is maybe coming over for a ride today...depending if the weather holds. I dont want to do a big ride--just need to get out for a little bit. I can tell it's chilly in here; all the dogs are on the couch and chairs and not laying in the floor! It is so funny 'cause they each have their heads on a pillow...makes me want to take a nap!

The fam took all of the coffee but one cup...think I will be making another pot! Ttrying to decide what I want to tackle today...I want DS to get up and maybe we can find out why the furnace doesnt heat to his room. I am leaning towards something stuck in the vent...prolly dirty underwear or something! It wasnt a prob the last few years cause I just put my plants in there for the winter. Now that he is home he probably wants some heat in there!

GUess I better got going here...twenty to ten and NOTHING done but a cuppa! Geez...can you tell I am feeling lazy again? At least I am not hurting today! I dont know if I told you guys but just breaking all the bread up for my chickens over the weekend through me into a Glutened Hurt big time! I could hardly walk on Sunday...every single joint hurt in my body. The last time that happened was when I played with the mealworm colony and all that wheat bran! I think I will wear rubber gloves the next time I get a bread windfall for sure!

Have a great day everyone...gotta find that garlic from the white elephant...I wonder where I put that stuff??? TerriOlosingmoreofhermindeverydayitseems

Afternoon all!
Just got back from the market and now I have to start sealing windows. Still need DH to take the AC unit out of the window. Grrrrr.
The Girls are good and SG is going broody. Again.
Same old same old

Ang-I did get your photos and email! They are terrific Thank you so much.

BBP-Can you resend your photos? I've been looking for them but never got them. I've been checking my spam filter but they are not there.
Thanks

David-A little late but I've ordered from Ideal and they are great. I've ordered chicks for April delivery. I ordered 25 and lost 2 i think. Not to bad for the time of year. Ideal is a Hatchery and not a broker like Purely Poultry and MCP are. HTH

Must love hens, I know, They are the only ones to use heat packs, Wierd, you think all would offer it for those who want to pay for it. I would rather pay more and get live chicks, than frozen ones. I may push my order to may if I can beg my dad to pick them up for me or offer my son a day off school if he picks them up and puts them in the brooder. I really need to buy sexed ones, I can't expect Jim to keep on taking my roo's . I was thinking about abenroths, but they don't have the colombian wyandotte's I want nor any pullets.

Whoever wanted to know... Our Fly Babies is the hatchery in Bancroft.
Thank you , I looked at their website just now and contacted them to see if they allow pick up They seem really pricey compared to the other sites. Has anyone purchased from them? Does anyone have seramas, They are tiny, I wonder if they would be accepted by wyandottes

thanks

David

I did pick up chicks from them last year with no problems. I got a mix of all large fowl breeds so I can't say anything about their bantams. I was happy with what I did get though. Now this spring I contacted them early to get on the list for SFH chicks and got the run around from them for months and never did get any. Ended up buying hatching eggs from another place instead.

I have a pair of bantam cochins that I plan on breeding in spring. A splash roo over a black hen so I should have blue eggs/chicks available if your interested in those.

thanks I contacted them today. I will let you know about the chicks. I haven't decided what type of bantam I want. I would love japanese but I don't think they would be happy in our enviroment.

David, just shoot PP an email. I sent Tyler a message on his FB page asking him about heat packs.... should see an answer soon.
