Hi All! Not a good day today .... but better. Thanks for the concern!
DrH... Glad Donny is doing good and it wasn't as bad as it could have been! Too bad he lost a kidney, but I see they took those "extra" troublesome parts out while they were in there!
Less to go wrong later. Hope you get his toily fixed without a hitch....hahaha I'm sure Mr. Murphy will be watching over you!
kristi.... Much as I would love for you to take one... if you want a clam pet now.... a kitten ain't it.... however if you don't mind the extra energy for a year or less they do calm down. Up to you. Hope it goes well with your old doggie, it's hard when they get that way.
GR.... Hope you get that infection cleared up quick! Have you used the goop on it? Almost everything in it is an antibiotic. You could also try a little raw honey and plantain in a poultice. I agree with you about the medical community. They have their place for sure, but too often they want to push pills and procedures that have safer, cheaper alternatives.
jj.... When I use Purina I seem to get less eggs, and yes, softer shells. I will say the girls seem to like it because they eat more.... but then, they may be eating more because they feel they need more for the same nutrition.
The Dumore (sp?) Made by Purina doesn't seem as bad.
BBP.... Dose your dog have floppy ears? Sounds like what one of my older dogs got all the time. The first 2 times I took her to the vet. and all he ever did was lance it and clean it out. Hell, I can do that! And I did 8 or more times after that. Guess it's quite common with many floppy ear dogs when they get older.
BigZ.... Man, if only we all had money to pool for that farm! We could could have our own chicken compound! LOL
Bl4.... good luck on your cupcakes! Yup, a real banana cream pie is much better!
CC.... I think long hair on a cat depends on the type of hair/fur and the cat! Mine stays pretty clean and well groomed on her own. However she dose LOVE to be brushed and will even ask to be brushed.
On tossing eggs during worming..... I use Ivermectin for worming and toss egg (or feed them back) for the first few days. After that WE eat them. Ivermectin is used in humans for parasites all over the world so worse case with eating the eggs is we are worm free! Look into it yourself and decide. I won't sell them, but ok for us adults.
OK.... fighting the pain writing this.... hot bath and bed for me! Tomorrow better be better! Too much to do to fell like this! Night all!
