The very LAST batch of cupcakes is in the oven! Of course I made 4 batches..... looking at 3 did not seem like enough. Tomorrow I will top them off with ganache and a fresh blackberry.

BigFam; thank you for the suggestion of the Feliway! I will pick up some diffusers tomorrow! I hope it works..... that cat is just about on her 9th life.

I am so ready for bed...... and I am happy I do NOT have to get up at 4:30 tomorrow morning!!!!

Hi All!
Not a bad day today for the body..... but I'm not too sure about my head!

Went to Wal-mart in the rain and by the time I got there is was nice and sunny.... guess what I did?
Yup, left the lights on! I had that big rusty van so Wa-lmart's little "jumper box" wasn't big enough to turn 'er over.

I didn't bring my phone because one of the things I was going to do was get minutes for it!!! So I tried use their phone to call DH and have him call Young Son to help me out..... no go DH's work is " local long distance" from their!

So, I only remember DH's work phone and cell numbers. His cell hasn't been working right so it didn't go through. Finally the gale that tried jump started the van for me let me use her cell phone! !

So.... shopping took an extra hour and a half

FT... love that Fifi! I think a "mini mule" would be cool!

vivki.... Glad your all clear!!! Dance your little heart out!

Jeez... bad enough the poor dogs and cats have to put up with "dress up" now the poor chickens do too!

CC... congrats on the chicks! Is the last one a silky?

DrH...When it comes to people mistreating animals..... I'd be waddling right behind you!

David.... that "goat tree" is so cool! Nimble little critters aren't they? My uncle had one that climbed a 1/2 fallen tree to get out, but it was nothing like these goats!

Nothing much with chickens..... I wormed them.... that's about it.... Night ALL!

Good Early Morning All! Gonna be a long day up since 3:30 long story but one less mouse in the house. Cool goat pic Dan! Have to wonder how many have made a wrong step. Cind that sounds like not a fun trip to china mart. We're thinking next Sunday morning for coming to get the kitten? I know your up all night, hoping that will work for ya. Might have to leave the kids locked in the coop Sat. and Sun. because I won't have anyone to let them out or put them to bed so I'll be in a hurry to get home. Going to try and think of a solution to that. Need for you to PM me with your phone# and meeting place. Hope your feeling better! Looked at Donny's twalet yesterday. Going to be a bigger job than I thought. SURPRISE! Yes there's a shut off valve but it's badly corroded and it leaks and the pipe is a horizontal run in the wall. Hoping I can cut it off and put a new compression fitting valve on it. Ya right. I have left over drywall in the garage.

After that going to Marshfield to see Donny not going to mention the toilet fix it'll be a welcome home surprise. Peatwo has joined the slw in a moult hoping his feathers come back in full this time. Or will have to modify an electric sock for him.

Good job Bigz on the butt warming material! Always wanted a fireplace for just a situation like that. A big stone one. Bl4 The cupcake queen.

Donny's son said he's be up early better get my stuff together and have some b'fast. Enjoy the great weather!

So sorry to hear about your car troubles. At least it was from something you did & not something that broke on you.

DrH, you need one of those auto chicken doors. It is the absolute best! Once they get used to it, that is.

Don't you mean kittenS????? Wish you had more time. We'd love to visit with you since you'd be in our neck of the woods.

Ang, with my first 4 lavs, I only had one hen also. But she makes some awful cute babies!

Just John~thank you for the great idea about using a large dog crate. Just happen to have one! I enjoy hitting rummage sales and whenever I see a dog crate I scoop it up and donate to a shelter or rescue but I always try to keep one of each size "just in case".

Unkadan~your pic brought back memories of my silly goats I had many years ago. They would climb EVERYTHING! I would find them on top of the lower barn, porch roof, chicken shed, my car.

Well, the weather's in no hurry to clear off so headin' for FF. Have a great weekend all!!!!

Good morning,

well, I am back, Got to argonne about 7am a bit for for sunrise. My son didn't quite make it up, he just grunted when I told him to get up he wanted to come. Funny thing is when I got home he was still sleeping. Anyway back to Argonne. This guy had about 4 chicken tractors and 2 big coops. Had different bantams in different tractors. I chose 2 seabrights and 4 buff japanese bantams.
He said he never heats his coop and since he is 2 hours north of me, I figure, I won't have to either unless it gets below 10 degrees. I put them in my coop about an hour ago and opened the little coop door to the run. I wanted them to find the food and the roosts and then explore. I have to go check on them soon. Hope it dries out so I can get yard work done.

Good morning all! Tommy is crowing up a storm next to me so I take that as a good sign that he is feeling better. Bright and sunny outside...now a cloud to be seen--great day for planting garlic (now that I found it!)
I have to go out and get the chores done and then hop over to my friend's house; she is having the vet out to put her old dog down and I am going for moral support. At least it is a nice day....we are planting a mum on the grave.
SO not much here...sorry to hear of the van troubles Cind. I hate when that happens! My problem is listening to my books and leaving the key in the ACC position--same result!
Nice job on the cupcakes BL4! And GF too! WOW!
So Vicki, ya going to hit Toyland are ya? Dont get your hair pulled! The radio station I listen to is doing a broadcast from our F&F this morning...really kinda glad I dont have to buy toys for little ones any more!

The girls are getting adjusting, one of the seabrights is pecking the Japanese bantams, not sure if this is to establish domanace or someone wants to become soup.
