too funny Terry O!

I want to see pictures of Doug and his big hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone's Halloween pix would be awesome!

Ghost, my DH used to work for HOW. He has a cousin who hauls for them too. I will ask him about the drivers, but the guys where I work now tell me that your DH will be gone all the time working for them; mostly East and West coast trips. Their trucks are also rigged so they will not go over 65 MPH.... I can find out more later when my DH is home. I do remember they had really crappy insurance, and that they guys working in the shop with families qualified for Welfare due to the pay being so low. When my DH quit and started working for the Foundry, his pay in three moths after he left HOW was over 2x what he made in the 9 months prior. Maybe they are running the place differently since he left in 1997, but I doubt it since it is run by family..... I hope you experience with them is much better than mine.

. No explanations are needed. At least you have recognized there is something going on..... my BIL and his wife did not figure out my nephew had Aspergers until he was 11. Not everyone learns to talk at the same pace either... my 15 yr old son did not talk until he was almost 3. His sister kept 'interpreting' for him... and now we can never shut him up!

It is so odd having a Saturday off with nothing going on....... I guess I could take the kids to Appleton. They never get to go there. Maybe the Mall....

Afternoon All!!
First chance I've had to catch up! Got awoken (is that right?) by the fire and sheriff this morning. They were next door at my elderly neighbor Cliff's. He has heart problems. This has happened before though the last time was only about a month ago. Just when I think he'll not be coming home, I see him on his lawn tractor mowing. He won't go into an assisted care facility and his kids know better then to even try.

The critters are all good and I finally got Buzzy all moved and hooked up with a heated water dish and the heat lamp. She is loving the new digs. I also gave the Girls their heated water bowl too. They were happy to have it back! Now I have to trudge upstairs and get the rabbits extra water bowls out. Giving them heated water bottles would be to hard to run electricity to so I'll just have to trade out frozen bowls for fresh ones when the freeze comes.

Bigz-Hugs to you and Suzie and the rest of your family. Delevan just passed their chicken ordinance so now they are legal.

BigFam-Poodles are awsome super smart dogs. I'd keep him or her clipped down. They can get rather wild looking! Another hypo allergenic breed is the Portagese (sp) Water Dog. There is also the Tibetian Terrier.

Kristi-There is a "Corgi" at the Rock County Humane Scociety but she looks more Chihuahua to me.

BL4-I hope Elivs will get to go to the talks but he might not be able to since he is a rooster. But I have the MG hen and she can go.

Well, I'm going to go take a nap. I ate to much brisket at Famous Dave's and now to sleep. I really should go walk around the park!

okay question for anyone who makes pies and freezes them. What is a good receipe for pie crust to follow and what steps do you take to make sure it doesn't come out mushy/soggy.

Our 4-H club is working on making Dutch apple pies for the community center food pantry holiday baskets- we made 50 pies today that will be frozen and then put with the baskets so that the people who receive the baskets can bake them following the instructions given.

Bigz- prays for Suzie's uncle

Evening To Everyone... again special thanks for the kind words sent toward suzies uncle...you guys and gals are the best. Still in a coma, and praying for a good outcome.

I can understand your less than excited feelings having to drive to Appleton David.....and then bl4 said she is planning on driving there...it's gotta be the worst place to have to drive in. Green Bay is sweet compared to there. I don't miss their narrow streets packed with traffic in a hurry one bit.

Sorry about tigger ghost. The job will pan out soon I'm bettin....keep lookin it will happen. I know it's gotta be tough in the meantime.

H&R...the crisco pie crust recipe works great as well as any ho-made crust. The baking won't allow for a soggy crust and they should turn out delish...we freeze them without any problems baking or results wise...good luck!

Go ahead and fire away any questions bigfam in regards to the miniature schnauzers. Alot of good breeds out there for sure. Take your time deciding what you want....they hang around for years and become part of the family for sure.

Hope your back feels better soon Doc....it can make one grumpy for sure.

I sure could use a Jim the builder around here....plenty of projects to accomplish. Maybe next spring when it's warmer outside, I'll get my rear in gear.

Lazyboy time.... bigz

good PM.. I quit working at 5;30PM got a lot done today.. roof all ready for shingles, siding on two sides and rear.. just have to frame out the door so I can side the front,, then wrap all the wood trim with aluminum and I will be done.. I have an idea for a door that the dog can open by itself..

put the vinyl siding on with 1/2 inch screws.. worked like a charm,, no sharp points poking through into the interior..

had a nice glass of Sangria,, now I can hardly type.. another glass and I will be sound asleep..

Adam, there is no perfect place to work.. just bite the bullet and get the experience.. I was low man on the totem pole when I drove truck for Schuette building center.. just do your job the way you are supposed to and ignore the arses.. don't pick up their bad habits.. and stay away from the ones who constantly bad mouth the company..

I watched two of my black jungle fowl hens go at it like a couple of roosters.. IDK what their problem was..
