I have a question regarding eggs in the winter. Do they freeze?

Oh Bigz... I'm so sorry about Uncle. I was hoping it was going to turn around quick. I'm sorry he's in a coma, but the most healing is done during that time. I pray The Lord watches over him, and that it's not his time.

Work has been insane-Manager finally pulled 3 others in to help me this afternoon-Thanks goodness I now wont have to work all wknd.

Evening everyone.........
Well another roller coaster day.......... My Tigger is no longer with us...... She could not get up this morning and even with help could not stand alone, was walking on her knuckles in the hind, she looked so miserable I called the vet made the appointment and spent the next 2 hours just talking and petting her........... I miss her already there is way to much room under my feet , where she always was, Poor Leo doesn't know what to think, in the last month he has lost his 2 buddies now he is all alone in the house except for us....... he played some with the boys tonight, but really wasn't much for company except moms.....he wouldn't eat his supper tonight either and he never misses a meal, if ya seen him you would know that, he's my chunk... he is feeling pretty sad too I guess..........

BigZ Still sending prayers for the uncle, rest is probably his best help now......... I love fish and wish I could eat it every Friday night like you all do....actually I think I would eat fish 3 times a week love it..
I haven't had any fish all year never could afford the licenses this year, nor have we had any extra money to go out to Romy's for one either.... maybe after everything gets back to normal around here.

Jim glad ya got some work done on the house....... and I agree with whoever said ya should just get a note from Annie........ LOL

David so glad ya finally got your runaway back........... hope no one else tries to be Houdini.....SP?

DrH I know the darkest before the dawn thing, but this has been the frig gen longest night ever imaginable...........and I was beginning to think the sun is never gonna be seen again.... and we had to live in the dark 4ever......... But........

Well now the up side of the roller coaster, Adam starts orientation for H.O.Wolding Nov. 13th unless they have one earlier, then they will call, he will be gone 2 weeks for training, the down side again........ not sure how I'm gonna cope with him gone 2 weeks........especially now with no one to take care of but the boys, chickens and horses..... Son is at school all day, and chores only take an hour, I'm gonna be lost without my other half........ So hopefully by the end of the month I will actually be able to see the light at the end of this very long arse tunnel....... starting pay isn't so good there but at least its steady and I bet they don't treat there new employee's like a wife beater treats his dog......at least I hope not......... anyone familiar with this company? there record at least is much better on the CSA site.

So anyway b4 this thing eats my post too. I better go......... see ya all in the AM...... night people.........Kim

JJ, I agree with the Doc. You are lucky to have found some apples. All my fruit trees got hit with that late freeze. And then my raspberries got nailed by the drought.

Heather, you got your hen on antibiotics? She might have an internal infection from the wound. Who are you trying to kid? You're sleeping out there to make sure no more kids smear any chit in that camper again.

David, congrats on catching the MIA hen!

Those banties are pretty smart at avoiding preds. That new banty roo of mine was dumped by the neighbors house & was running around loose for almost a week before we caught him. And lately we've got an owl hanging around in the yard, not to mention all the hawks, coyotes, etc. I'm glad she is home safe. Let us know if any vids wind up on Youtube, will ya?

Bigz, still praying for Suzie's uncle. It's a long road recovering from that kind of trauma, but the body can endure some terrible punishment. At least with him being in a coma, he won't have to endure as much of the pain, or remember it either. Thoughts & prayers for you & your family.

cs, if your eggs freeze, it is best to use those up first.

Ghost, so terribly sorry to hear about Tigger. At least she isn't suffering any more. Hugs to you, Adam & Leo.

good AM, first cuppa is down the hatch,, I am waiting for daylight.. I want to get an early start on the coop.. It is cold, and I hate working with mittens on.. I had a pair of gloves with all the fingers cut off, but I think they got tossed.. might have to make a new pair.. can't dig nails out of the bucket with gloves on..

My brother and I are going to take a ride to Madison on Tuesday. will be there by 10 AM.. just a turn around trip.. going to the airport.. meeting a flight..

Hope Suzie's uncle comes out of this episode all OK.. I had 14 uncles,, only 2 are left.. 78 and 92 years old..

Yes, eggs do freeze and the shell will split.. you can keep them frozen until you want to use them.. the yolk becomes fragile and it might break if you try to fry it sunny side up.. best to scramble it or use it for baking..

Good Snowy Morning all! Yep getting a few flurries here. Forgot to mention that the other morning it was real frosty and Peatwo put on his arm band and was goose steppin around the yard. Peckin lil Nazi! It is so funny to watch him! Bf4me glad to hear that you recognize the symtoms and are heading in the right direction with the DS! GR sorry to hear about tigger!

HO Trainset started over here in Plover many years ago hauling mainly spuds but think they are all freight now. Once Adam gets some miles under his butt then he can look around for something that suits him better. Hang in there it'll happen. Back is progressively getting better down to 2 Ibu's in the morning. All this sitting around is starting to get to me. Need to get "back" to work Dan.

Dave glad you caught that chicken watch out for the tusks! That happens when they go feral ya know. Jim you'll find those gloves as soon as you cut the fingers off the other pair. You know that's how it works. cs good to hear from you! About all I can remember right now. see ya later!
