Caption should be .......well ya have your head up my butt all the time, thought ya might like seeing how it feels.....
They sure are pretty are they considered large breed? how big do they get?
The hens remind me of the cute little black pullets that Jim has..........they also have some white neck feathers, but I think Jim said they were a cross of some kind, can't quite remember what cross though. hardly any comb on his and these have a nice straight comb...... I like the rooster, and Jim loves the black and white chickens I could see him getting these at his place.......
Well off to bed with me, early day tomorrow.............Kim
Hope you're feeling better soon, Frenchie. I hate when I don't feel well.
Glad to hear ET has patience like Bigz. That is a valuable trait sorely missing from a lot of folks these days.
Ghost, I agree with Jim. Let your hen back out with the flock. I let the Moosette rejoin her cohorts. I still wish I knew what her issue was. I isolated her & she had that one runny, blood stool. Her subsequent stools became firmer & firmer. She broke out of her cage this AM and was squalking up a storm so I figured she was more than ready. I also took the chicks out to meet Jack & their older sisters. Finally no more chickens in the house!
There is some serious cleaning in my near future.
I did get a start on it this morning but got sidetracked with outsde stuff. I can surely handle more of this kind of weather, like all winter long.
Wow, I cannot spell for crap tonight. Guess I better go to bed. Welcome back, Hurley! Adorable kitty, Terri! And sweet dreams, all!
Congrats on those who got deer! We're hoping some kind soul bags more than they need and we can get at least some in our freezer. Last couple of years we got lucky. I wind rationing the stuff out like gold threw the year. My daughter and her family (BF&2 boys) eat almost nothing but game. But they don't have much money so they depend on what he can hunt.
Hope those who haven't got their deer yet, get all they need.
FT....hope you feel better.
GR... I have one of Prettyboy's sons that should give you some nice color in your flock. I'll have to get a pic. of him.
Not much going on.... just trying to get the house clean. DH invited 2 widowers from his church for Thanksgiving. Going to try to talk young son into cleaning the carpets. Yea, who ever in their right mind decided that indoor/outdoor carpeting in a kitchen was a good idea!!! Jon (young son) dumped about a cup of oil on it tonight!
That stuff was fine for a family room or basement.... NOT a kitchen or bathroom!
they are all sleeping as of 6.30 am. The mom is a calico and looks like my sons cat Ninjetta,
hanging up Christmas lights today,
Spent a few hours looking at my Meyers catalog.
I am now thinking buff orpingtons, instead of the golden comets. They don't produce as much eggs but I think they produce longer
plus they seem to be a favorite due to their personality. Any one have them?
