There were many reasons it was banned and many more reasons it continues to be restricted.

I just meant in the US. I don't know what other countries do considering it

It was the British who started it in the colonies.
Banning it’s never been especially effective but polluting local landraces has been. It did make me smile recently though when the Thai government legalised it and gave away 1million cbd plants, presumably in an attempt to destroy the last pure landrace on the planet.
All the government plants died before flowering. Cannabis is a critically endangered species and it won’t be long before it’s completely lost. Very sad.

We have a ton of people here growing it, especially now that it's state legal. I have a friend growing a few. The only plants she's managed to grow so far. We joke they're all male because they're actually doing well

@JacinLarkwell The plants people grow these days and the ones you can get on prescription here in the uk do not have the same medicinal properties that the landrace imports had before they were polluted with modern genetics.
Thai is probably the last remaining pure landrace left and it’s only still there because it’s so highly adapted to local conditions where modern genetics can’t survive.
It’s not an accident of people sharing seeds, banning it didn’t work so it’s been deliberately eradicated with genetic pollution,
most people don’t seem to realise what’s been lost.
I rely on it for medicinal reasons so it saddens me that it’s not long for this world. I’m looking for alternatives in other plants which is why I’m interested in witches and other religious traditions, they knew a lot about medicinal plants.

I'm fairly certain it grows wild here in Texas and has for a very long time. Can still find it out in the state and national parks off the beaten paths.

P.S. or in overgrown pastures. And no it was not planted by someone skirting the law. Lol my dad when went camping would point it out to us on the trails.

That's not a problem. They have evolved that way in order to survive. There is no way other than keeping it in a completely enclosed greenhouse to keep them pure. And that is not natural. Mutation to survive is natural not remaining 100% pure. That is stagnation and isn't good for anything.

This was true until modern genetics entered the gene pool, they always mixed and it wasn’t an issue.
Smoke some pure Thai and compare it with anything related to og kush or skunk and you’ll see what I mean, there was a massive diversity of cannabinoids available when I discovered the plant that no longer exist. Thai will soon be gone the way of all the others.
Cannabis is not what it was and has been since long before we arrived, Its lost many of its medicinal properties since the introduction of modern genetics and they can’t be brought back.

By that definition, Islamists and Jews who all agree Christ existed are Christians - which clearly they are not. Jesus is the Son of God, the Word of God made flesh, if you read the bible, you will find in the 1st chapter of John's Gospel, that He is God.

Muslims is a better term. Jesus came from the father. He is not the father himself. The Holy trinity exists. I find it interesting that in a thread about paganism and/or witchcraft Christians want to make it about them. I get that it's important to express what you believe, but this is not the place
