Is he an EE?

Yup. He was my "accidental" roo in my first batch of "pullets." He's the father of my first GrandChick by Rebecca/EE, hatched by Buffy. And the father of Delilah Delaware's two daughters, hatched by Shirley Welsummer.

This is Red (I didn't name her), a rescue GLW given up by a friend's neighbor, with George Sebright in the picture. She didn't look that good when I got her...

OK, I'm gonna tick off everyone here cause I am going to point out a serious flaw with this coop. I applaud the builder but I see something that he has overlooked and am surprised no one has noticed.
If you go back and look at the pictures you can clearly see that he has set the bottom plate in about 2 inches from the edge of the floor. Once he puts the exterior plywood on the wall it is going to still be about 1 1/2 inches from the edge of the floor. When it rains and the water runs down the wall it is going to soak the floor, it can't drain off so it will soak under the wall and into the coop floor which will rot.
He should have set the bottom plate flush with the edge of the floor. When he put the exterior plywood on the wall he would drop it down so that the water would drain down past the floor and would have a dry floor when it rains.
I personally would drop the exterior plywood down enough to cover all the wood and make up for the difference under the eves.
Otherwise he's done a good job.

If it is painted, in their climate, it'll be ok. (I checked with my builder person and that's the verdict) Since the exterior wood isn't meant for outside weather, I am assuming they plan to paint...actually I vaguely recall references to "paint" by the owner of the building.

For my climate, you are right and that's how I plan to build mine.

By all means, if you want to put the flooring down inside and start decorating, go ahead! As for the door, we can hang a tarp on a rod if you want!
