Woke up to a dead hen in my coop. :(

Thanks, everyone. I will help hubby lower that roost and watch everyone very closely. We have installed a fan to help with the heat at night. Poor Opal.

Sorry to hear about Opal...

This past February I went to lock up the coop for the night. As I usually do, I peeked inside to make sure everyone was alright. And there in the middle of the coop was a dead hen, still warm. No broken bones, no blood, no missing feathers, clean vent. And she wasn't even a year old. I still don't know what killed her. The other 21 hens were fine, and to this day are still doing good.
