Niko laid his head down and shut his eyes. He could hear the wind blowing through the grass and rustling the leaves around him. He heard the birds chirping and crickets. Things were peaceful and he liked it.

Alessia went and curled up next to Niko. She settled into his side.
Zoltan continued to watch out for them as he slowly ate the deer.
Niko smiled and nuzzled Alessia as she laid beside him. Niko shut his eyes to catch some rest.
Alessia did the same. She hadn’t been able to let her guard down to get a decent rest. Even with her brother and herself taking turns. Then when she did manage to get to sleep, the flashbacks and nightmares would start. Maybe this time it would be different, she hoped.
Zoltan continued to hold a vigil. Scaning the treeline and rock clifts. He'd learned that seeing the infected first, greatly improved there chances.
Niko dreamed of how things use to be. His mother, two sisters, and... his father. They were all happy about a year ago. Those were the good days. Then come about 5 months ago he watched his mother and sisters get murdered by his own father.
Niko suddenly woke up from his night mare and looked down at Alessia, sleeping peacefully. He laid back down and curled up next to her.
Alessia stirred slightly, but at Niko's warmth, she settled back into a restful sleep.

Alessia sighed contentedly.
As the day countinued on, Niko woke up. They were both still sleeping so he was sure to be quiet. He got up and went off to find some water.
