Wondering about 3 breeds: Easter Eggers, Wyandottes, and Australorps?

Hello all! I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on these three breeds: Easter Eggers, Wyandottes, and Australorps. I have read a lot about them online but I always would reather hear from first hand experience. My hubby and I have ordered some chickens and those are the breeds. I am very excited about the Easter Eggers, they sound like wonderful chickens and the color eggs are a plus. My hubby really wanted the Australorps and the Wyandottes were basicaly because they are pretty and good egg layers from what we found. We will be getting our chicks the week or August 3rd so I at least have some time to learn more.

So if anyone who owns these or has owned these could give me some information and tips on them that would be GREAT.

From what I read they are all good layers -- comparable to RIR. A big chicken farmer round here says they are anyway and she has all of them I think.

Our Wyandotte is v. friendly as is our EE. We don't have an Australorp...but I am sure you've heard the 364 egg thing...

We have 2 EE's from Ideal...they are great layers...we get one mint green and one blue egg almost every day. We LOVE the beautiful eggs and want more EE's. However, they are more "independent", rather than friendly. They will eat out of our hands, but don't want us to touch them. Our Buff Orpingtons and Leghorns are friendlier than our EE's.

I have a wyandotte and an australorp. The wyandotte is with one of my barred rocks at bottom of the pecking order. She always looks like hell. I tried putting pine tar on her- then she goes and takes a dirt bath. Oh you don't even want to see her picture right now! She is sweet- but a little timid. My australorp made a great broody & mom. She is not afraid of anything- and I like the size & color of her too.

I like EE's because they are interesting to look at- I really only like the bearded ones- the more bearded the better, they come in a wide variety of colors and are friendly. The Wyandottes are friendly also but unless you go with BLRW, just aren't as interesting to me color wise. Same with the Australorps. All three are really good layers.

Here is a kind of cool EE cross I bred, I 've got two of them-Angelina and Jolie. The Dad is my Avatar Rooster and the Mom is a blue-ish EE. I'm crossing her now with a BLRW roo.

My EE's are very friendly and are very accepting of new EE's to the coop.
