Wondering which state has the most registered members on here?

Big C :

Today we got break from 2 wks straight of triple digits and no rain, it was overcast and about 88*. Mostly throughout the yr it is very fickle to put it lightly, it dang sure takes some getting used to.

I was impressed with the 'green' of eastern OK as we flew over last Thursday... But doesn't the wind blow an awful lot there? And isn't that Tornado Alley? I guess every place has it's pros and cons.

Driving around the tri-state area here (Keokuk, Iowa/Hamilton, IL/Missouri) the past few days I haven't seen many chicken coops... but I've never seen so many dead coons on the road in my life! Perhaps that is why...

....just north of Hamilton on the way to Nauvoo, there are some folks that have some magnificent Canadian Geese that nest there along the Mississippi. Had some almost fly into our rental car as we were driving along there!

Don't forget your overseas members - Keeping backyard chickens is a growing hobby in the UK, especially now during these times of recession and food scares. Just like you Yanks, we, your British cousins, realise the fun and benefits of keeping hens in the garden.
