Interesting point about 'meat animals' vs 'pet animals.' Sort of a scary thought.

How about, as long as they are humanely dispatched, they go to Rainbow Bridge as, IDK - Heavenly bug patrol??? (maybe they can snack on errant demons or something.)

Sorry, I'm a little philosophical this week since I had to aid my BC to the Rainbow Bridge. I'd like to think I'll see her again, but healthy next time.

(RIP Rain - I miss you. See you again someday. Go chase some chickens, you always enjoyed that!)

Well, DH asked me to stay up with him while he was doing some work. He has since deserted me and tomorrow is a long day. I guess I am heading to bed. Go to bed Bee and pretend you are sleeping. When you wake up in the morning you can imagine that all this was just a weird dream.

I've heard that Heaven is a really, really big place. Room for lots and lots of people and animals of all kinds. I like to think that the animals that inhabit the Earth will be in Heaven also...sure would be missing something if I couldn't hear the birds sing or watch my sheep grazing in the fields. God took great and infinite care to create each and every creature on this Earth and I doubt He will leave all that beauty and variety behind.

Ol' Jim will be waiting on me. He was a good, good dog!

He won't be waiting on any ol' bridge, though...he used to sit upright on the front porch swing and just swing while he waited for me to come home. I expect that's just where I will find him, waiting on the front porch of my heavenly home.

Well, if you believe in Heaven at all, you know that the lion will lay down with the lamb, which would seem to indicate that predators will no longer be needing to prey on other animals. Why not the dinosaurs as well? Maybe the T-Rex will lay down with the Brontosaurus, who knows?
