Ah, this is annoying. It's your computer. Mine does it too - others can see your new avatar, but to you it looks like your old one, just squashed. Mine usually takes around a week to start displaying the correct avatar.

Make sure you hit the submit button after uploading your new avatar. The new one should appear then.
