Woo Hoo...one of my EE's laid her first egg today!

I am so excited. One of my EE's laid her first egg today. I went to check on their water (snowy day) and there it was. A beautiful olive green egg. I am so happy!

That is a beautiful egg and for being a first egg it is especially great!!Waiting for the first from my EE but know they are late bloomers. Hope mine is as pretty as yours.

I get ones a shade lighter than that from my EE....

Our EE Agnes laid her first egg today--its the exact same color as your EE's but when we took a picture it looks BLUE!! Why is that??? Did our camera remove the dark brown base color?? Anyone know??

The color may look wrong because you have it on a brown background (the deck railing). Colors tend to look different depending on what color they are near, it's an optical illusion. Try taking a picture of it on a white background like the OP and it should show it's true colors.
