WOO HOO Someone's Laying!!! We are Hatched!

My silly ducks don't lay yet. They should, but they don't. I have 2 pair of pekins, one of rouen, and one of cayuga, and 2 extra rouen drakes. I have had them all at least 2 months, if not longer, and no eggs at all!!

Do you feed them layer crumbles? try that if you have not done that yet.

UPDATE UPDATE!

My eggs are pipping, evidently they had been brooded a few days prior to me putting them in the bator. Dec 5 was the due to hatch date from when I put them in the bator, but they are pipping NOW!!! WOO HOOO!!!!

Yes, I feed layer crumbles to the ducks and the geese and the chickens. It makes feeding so much easier. youngest DD can feed cause she does not have to worry which bucket to feed what to.

Nope it has just been about 18 hours so I am being good and waiting the 48 hours and not bothering them. URGH!!!

They are pipped and wiggling but I am resisting looking. that is why I am on here, idol hands are the devil's workshop....so MINE ARE BUSY!!! LOL....

I do have the 3rd bator warming up. I read that we need to separate the ducks and geese during hatching because of the bacteria.....don't want to chance it. besides I have extra bators so line em up!!!!...because I got yet again another call duck egg tonight.....2 per day won't take long with the duck and goose eggs and chicken eggs and I will be full! I decided tonight, however, I am only going to incubate the calls this go round. DH wants to try the rich duck and goose eggs and see how good they taste. I will keep ya posted as they progress, the pippers are under the magic window so I can see them easily LOL!

UPDATE UPDATE!!!! Got a pekin on the way out! WOOHOO!!!!

10:08 Pekin #2 is pipped and 4 geese are pipped, I am thinking the ducks are gonna beat the geese out and that is not a bad thing! Get them out and fluffy and into the other brooder bator before the geese spread their ick everywhere! LOL
