I remember my first egg

My mom and sister always picked on me because eveyday I came in the house saying "no egg yet" and they would say "you have lazy chickens" joking around, and finally when I stopped telling them "no egg" well one day I went in there and there was one in front of the nesting boxes!!!! I got so excited, and my mom and sister diddent believe it, until I showed them

I got my first yesterday too...a really pretty olive-green one! My gals are 28 &1/2 weeks old. It is so exciting!

Congratulations! My girls started laying about a month ago, and I was soooo excited. I called my coworkers, my husband, my parents, etc. Posted pics to Facebook.

We got 11 eggs yesterday which I think is great considering they're new layers and it's winter.
