Words that you hate to hear from your kid

Quote:
You can stop them from saying those words by forcing them to clean everytime they say, "I am bored." That is what I do with my kids.Be sure not to just threaten or give them any warnings. They have to clean something up a couple of times-like a really nasty refrigerator- to get the message.

My son's girlfriend came to me and said, "I ran out of birthcontrol pills last month." Then she said, "I am late." She didn't mean late for a date either.

Well she didn't really kick her to the curb. Her baby's father was 18, and she married him [or else my mom was going to call the police on him for sneaking in the house at night] and they moved in with each other, but the baby was taken away because she didn't take care of it [who now is on her deathbed because of a rare genetic disease], and so was her next baby, and she now has another who she may be keeping. They were also living in a homeless shelter for a while We adopted her when she was 13, and she had a LOT of problems, and we did everything we could for her. I talked to her once a year ago, but not for 2 years before that. So she is basically gone. [She lives 6 hours away as well]

I have 3 teenage daughter and that is definately one I hope i will mot here for a long time

wow, my mom kicked my sister out of the house when she got preggo at 16, it did her good though.

Poor kid! I moved out of home at 16, I finished high school, then college while working to pay my way in a commune, it was hard, and I wasn't pregnant! I can't imagine trying to do that while pregnant!

My oldest son called to tell me that he was getting married. Before I could respond he added "I have to marry her". Even though he was an adult and had spent 4 years in the army, my stomach still clenched up a bit as I tried to offer advice. After several uncomfortable moments he finally laughs and tells me that she wasn't pregnant. The reason he "had" to marry her was that she owned her own tackle box. They have now been married twenty years and eleven years ago they gave me a new name, Opa. Due to a box full of fishing lures I have a beautiful granddaughter.

When I have been told the "famous" saying, Please mom....Dont be mad...It usually involves a animal that my DD saved/resued..How can you get mad at that?? Chief is now a big beautiful tiger kitty who is almost 2. (DD's friends dad was gonna kill the last 2 kittens) )DD hid the kitten in her room for over 1 mos before I found him while I was putting away her laundry)Marley is a black lab mix who is almost 7mos.She was dropped off in a cardboard box w/her sister in the woods, she had been beaten n abused.) and the other ones were here to nurse back to health n given either back to found owners or a new home.Cant complain abt it since it is the right thing to do and she has seen her mom taking care of strays and picking up lost animals.
