Yes we will be planning on it!
last year we missed a half hour, but we made up for it.
Some ways to make Earth Hour fun:
*If you have little kids, get them excited and evolved by taking some candles or non-plug in lamps out; just be sure they are out of reach!
This will make it exciting. You can make shadow puppets, etc. Your little kids will love it!
*Take some board games out; play some fun board games in the dark(with candles/lamps lit in the house to see). This is a great idea for being green, having fun, and spending time with family..the traditional way! And you can do it without turning on that TV.
*Have some snacks made beforehand; this way you won't have to use plug in appliances, such as microwave, toaster, etc. to make any snacks.
Good snack ideas: popcorn(made beforehand), chips, sandwiches, finger foods, etc.
*You can do all of the above while sitting together in the semi-darkness of your home. It is a lot of fun! So, go green and participate in Earth Hour...while spending family time and having lots of fun!
