Worming chickens..........

Okay..........so if my chicks (now 10 weeks old) have been fed DE in their feed.......and have had ACV in their water......
since I got them........................do I need to do a 'serious' worming, with worming meds? Or did the DE & ACV, right from the get-go, "not" let the worms get a toe-hold?
Also, dumb question...............do the chickens 'taste' the Cayenne pepper...........or does it actually have to be 'chewed'
to get the heat?

thanks, now I have to re-read. I missed the Apple Cider Vingar. I use it in the winter to encourage my goats to drink enough, gotta find out what it does for chickens.

back to page 1 I go....

See ya soon,

ANSWER
yes as I directed give the complete wet mash probiotic
it does work and the milk is very good for them
besure they clean the wet mash probiotic up in 30 minutes and clean the wet feeders and restock the dry feed with the cayenne pepper mixed in

any other questions email me GLH

Glenda,
This is a wealth of information - thanks so much!

If I saw a round worm in a poop, do you feel that giving the cayenne pepper is good enough? I would like to steer clear of chemicals... having nothing to do with the eggs - more on staying as natural as possible.

Supposedly, in one of Gail Damerov's books it states that DE reduces egg production. Do you know of anything and any reason that this would be so? And, if you know, is it just is you put DE in the food or is it also sprinkling it around?

thanks
