Worming chickens?

I understand and know what you're going through. You gotta do what you gotta do to keep your birds cool. Excessive heat stress can kill birds, worming can wait unless it's an emergency.
Yes, thank you for understanding. It's been very hot here even with the wind that blows here most days.

I have a question, if you worm your chickens can you still use those eggs for hatching in an incubator?

How and where do we test the chicken poop for worms?

From my experience (which is not much), I took some to my vet which was really expensive. Won't do that again! The next time, I took it to our Nevada Dept of Agriculture. They will do a fecal for $9.00.

I just gathered some fresh poop up, put it in zip lock bags and took it in. I will test once a year and only treat if needed. Mine (two of them, the others were just 6 weeks old at the time) did have a mild case of tape worm so I treated for that. Hated tossing the eggs. That's why going forward, only if needed.
