Worming peacocks

This may not be too difficult, I found a vet clinic selling off their equipment on Craigs List, listed prices and 'make offer'. They had both the scope and centrifuge. Also found a bunch of antique scopes for around $75 in the city.

Poo phobia? Lol, I guess birds to be necropsied aren't kept in the fridge?

I suspect that's the bull they're going to tell me, but I'm not even gonna ask them how to treat for whatever they might find, that I can figure out on my own, lol, and you all know I don't need any medications from them!

Believe it or not I have a freezer that is used for feathers, and I can put deceased pets and birds in there, but definitely not in the house fridge. He'd pass out. The man grew up on a farm, and he won't eat Peacock eggs, acts like flies are a plague from On High, and poo is more dangerous than battery acid. I on the other hand grew up in the 'burbs and nothing phases me, even maggots on my turkey bird.

Got a couple in the fridge now... a hen with EYP from laying interally, I think, and a duckling that I found in the middle of the yard a couple of days ago. I think it had a yolk sac infection. Been curious to see what a yolk sac infection actually looks like.

OK as you may remember I have a new 2year old peacock and I am sure he has never been wormed. I know this has to be done, I do not want to try a grab him to dose him. I have read most of this thread and the more I read the more confused I get. In short what dose do I put in the mash Idea to one peacock. I figure I will give him just enough mash to make sure he eats it all and know he will get a full dose. And if I read this correctly repeat in 3 days. Correct?

If you are going to use Safeguard for one peacock, mix three ml/cc in the amount he will eat in one day. Do this for five days in a row to catch all types of worms, then repeat ten days later. Some people say to use a different wormer the second go around in case the worms have a resistance to Safeguard, I use Valbazen the second time. Valbazen dose is one ml/cc one time or for only one day.

The idea is to kill the worms in the first round, then the eggs that hatch out after the first dosing will be caught in the second round of treatment.

i want to use ablendazole liquid suspension in water for my pair of Peafowl. i want to know about the dose 1- what amount of suspension 2- in how many Litters , 3- the time period

the reason i m chose to worm them is i want to keep them tame . last time i catch them to worm . after that they were very scary and run away from me when i enter in the pane. looking for your valuable inputs

I think it was 1 cc for each liter, giving it for 5 days, with of course changing the water daily, and then repeat it after 10 days.

But its still giving them orally will be more effective.

last your you told how much to dose my peacock for worms. I used Safeguard for 5 days and Valbragzen for 1 day. now I am reading I should use something different so the worms don't build a tolerance to it. With just the one and only being able to keep a large bottle before it expires. I hate to just throw it a way it was quite pricey for both together. Thanks your a big help.
