Worming with Valbazen

Ok, my understanding is I can use ivermectin topically to treat worms and mites. Could someone comment/discuss this please.

Many studies show that ivermectin is not an effective wormer. I have used it to treat lice, so I know it treats lice, and since it treats lice, I imagine it will also treat mites.... Just have had to treat mites, so can't confirm.

I was planning to order the one from wholesale Kennel because it's a smaller bottle but it says it covers hook, round and whip. Doesn't say anything about tape worms and I can't get the bottle picture clear enough to see if it's the same active ingredient as the Valbazen broad spectrum sold on the other sites. Can anyone confirm if it's the same % of active ingredients as the one with yellow label.

Also... I was looking at this one because so many other chicken keepers on Facebook groups said this one works great and requires no withdrawal period but it looks like it does indeed take a withdrawal time... ugh so confusing

Pretty sure that the kennel place buys Valbazen in large bottles and re-packages it into the small ones, so it should be the same %. The worms it lists one the site are dogs worms, which are different than chicken worms, so that's probably why tapes aren't mentioned.A study shows that Valbazen will treat the common chicken tape, but some people have reported that it doesn't, so keep that in mind.

I need help! I am still battling tape worm... So I have tried Valbazen this time. I wormed .2 ml for my small chicken and .4 for the rest. I actually got 2 of them on the scale and this dosage should be VERY close. I wormed them on 10/28 and then again on 11/8. Granted this was less than 48 hours ago, but I just saw 1 worm as I was picking up poop. I read that Valbazen kills over several days, so are they still in the process of dying? Should I worm again in 10 days? Should I increase dosage? The equimax did not work, possibly because it was difficult to measure doses and I wasn't shoving it down their throats like I am now...

Any comments or suggestions? I thought tapeworm was supposed to be UNCOMMON in chickens lol and I cannot get rid of them!

Please help! I am hoping they are just in the process of dying!!

I have used equimax (I am sure I didn't get right doses though) and now valbazen, in pretty right doses, directly in mouth and 10 days apart...now 15 days later they have live tapes in poop...
Any advice is so appreciated! I'm about to call a vet and that will be too EXPENSIVE!

hi there, do you know if it is ok to use valbazen and corid at the same time? or is that too much? I have probiotics to give right after. should I wait a few days in between? thank you, Nat
